I thought the whole team had to be immense today
some of the decisions against us was a joke

but Willo stood up well against Anichebe when
the message was quite clear to rough up our CH near the end

 

He was proper mustard today. Keep that up and he is rightly first choice at the moment. I quite like him and colo together. Lack of pace is a bit of a worry but when they play like today they dont need it.

 

Thought it was his best game for the lads to date..rock solid and easily the man of the match.

 

Willo didn't put a foot wrong again and was immense in defence.

 

I hate to say it but I agree, fair play to the lad should have been motm

 

Hats of to him. And may I say congratulations to Pardew on his inevitable manager of the month award.

 

Hell, even Shola had a good game today.

What's all this? Fans praising Willo and Shola for playing so well and helping us get to 5th (for now at least) while Ben Arfa and Cisse sit on the bench? Who would have thought that in August?

 

Thought Ben Arfa might have got a few minutes playing time but it wouldn't have been fair to take anybody off to let him have a cameo role.

Sessegnon got a few loud cheers, or maybe they might have been jeers.

 

He was fantastic. Should really be sitting with a MOTM award. Shola played well again. Both have really upped their game.

 

I keep saying this, that Shola only puts the effort when his contract is up

he's playing for a new/last contract


we should only offer him a week by week contract

 

Both Shola and Willo had good games last week and have carried it on.

Only negative was Colo. He got dominated in the air by Long pretty much all game, especially first half.

Also taking Remy off and leaving Ameobi up top on his own (he was too tired to play this role) just gave West Brom the initiative for the last 10 minutes.

A poor sub from Pardew but his only mistake in an otherwise flawless managerial performance from him in our last four games.

 

I thought was a good sub to be honest. I thought maybe at the time, he'd have took both off though because both were knackered. I suppose he was worried about their aerial threat which seemed their most likely source of a goal. Long, McCauley and Olsen were a handful. Shola was making a nuisance of himself in helping us defend them.

Anita really mopped up well, and plugged gaps again.

 

Meh... I'd give him a 3

 

Looked better than colo in my mind. His ball control seems to be improving too
