Frustrating game lost as a result of not starting the game professionally. But we didn't create anything like enough chances to deserve to win either.

Just got back. Ipswich did a job on us. Started much better, got the goal, after that they never really threatened us and we never threatened them either. We played some decent approach stuff but once we got to the box we relied on hopeful balls in, and were always outnumbered in the box. In fact we didn't have a clear-cut chance all game. If today is the best Chris Powell tactics I fear come the end of the season we must part company. One shot in the 1st half is all I can recall for 90 minutes effort. Dont think we should sack him as the disruption would have a negative effect on his squad. At least I saw sodall run... onto the pitch. Hoping for so much more after Tuesday night.

 

It was the perfect away performance by our lads today. Score early then shut up shop! A typical Mick McCarthy ploy and one that worked for us today. We will both be mid table come the end of the season and for us in particular that will mean steady progress!
