I'm not sure I agree with the comments in this post to be honest.

''Apathy is something I have never associated with Newcastle. To be told their biggest crowd was for a testimonial match is a huge surprise and it’s worrying.''

I've been to almost every game this season and it's almost always been 49+ which is just short of capacity. We are still near-filling the stadium week-in week-out and probably will continue to do so for the rest of the season.

I also disagree that no players will come to us. Can you tell me any player currently at NUFC who isn't enjoying their time here? Cabaye and Remy may be looking towards bigger things, but there's no crime in that.

Sorry, but after winning our last 3 games and hopefully a 4th tomorrow, the argument about lack if signings isn't quite standing up. In fact, the clubs who made the most signings (Norwich/ Sunderland/ Spurs) are all struggling of late and it is they who have the impatient fans and board.

I'd like to see one or two in January to strengthen, but I think that's all that's needed.

We'll always get big crowds, that's the way we are, we go to the games regardless. I just think that Rob is pointing out that he, Shearer and Cole, three of our better players in years gone by don't think JK is the best spokesperson the club could have.

There has to be someone better than Joke to represent us in the transfer market

While he was here, he was one of us.

He gave us his whole heart and soul.

He's got a point, but the article is from mid September, two weeks after a disastrous transfer window and after the city shower of ****e.
Released and quoted purely to ramp up unrest because that's what the media do.
Time now, after a step up in performances and improved results, to see what happens in January.
I don't hope for mega buys but I do hope some sensible squad strengthening occurs.
Then a rotation of squad players such as Obertan and Marveaux exiting to be replaced in late January or next summer would be ideal.
