We've discussed Floyd, Stones & Beatles. What about Elvis? Presley not Costello, not that I've owt against him mind. Just as a kick off, You Are Always on my mind. In the Ghetto. And of course,,,,, Wise Men Say.
I might only be 24 but my old man did a good job educating me on music mate. I'm by no means a huge Elvis fan but it's hard not to recognise class when you see/hear it.
How about these then. Love Me Tender. Always On My Mind. The Wonder Of You. Don't Cry Daddy. Fukcing beautiful mate.
Lovely music. Reminds me of Sunday afternoons in the bar in the Hastings Hill (back when the bar was a bar).
Disc marra, when I was a younun I once took the piss out of Elvis because I was into punk at the time & my dad told me to speak with respect when you talk about the king. Like you, I got educated too.
Never rated him. I do agree with Elvis himself that Roy Orbison was better. Of 'his' songs it's got to be Wise men say for obvious reasons.
