    Eye up,

Becchio has fallen out with Norwich boss Chris Houghton. Not surprising really when you consider Houghton bought three players in the Summer, all strikers, and has only had 14 minutes of game time this season.

Becchio had this to say :-

"I'm surprised and frustrated at what's happened to me," he told the Daily Mirror.
"It's not as if there's been a problem between me and the manager. We've had no arguments, no confrontations. It's just normal and I've carried on working hard in training, scoring goals.

"If I'd been played and not done if for the team, I could understand it. Then I'd have an explanation.
"But I've not had any chance to show what I can do and I've not been given any reasons. I'm mystified by what's going on. I can't understand it at all."

After the players Norwich have taken from us at cut price, the very least they could do is to loan us Becchio until the end of the season!!!

    Thoughts?

McDermott has been talking about Blackstock, and whether he'd make a good permanent signing...

“In January, he either goes back or he stays so let’s see what happens. We have got seven games in December, which is incredible.
“I think it is so early to be talking about him. He has got three and a half years (left) on his contract and that’s a lot.
“From Dexter’s point of view, there is no way he would be signing a contract which says two years on it if his another one which says three and a half years

I did not realize that her was tied down for so long. Obviously Blackstock would want us to at least match Forests contract, and that is before we sort out a transfer fee for him.

    What would you do?

I don't think Blackstock was ever an option for us, as a trees fan had told me that 'job done' had given him a contract extension as soon as he went back. BMD is right and unless Dexter plays out of skin and scores loads of goals in the next 8 games, he will be going back. Cash is tight and giving hima 3-year deal on similar money as the trees would hurt what we can do elsewhere in the market.

I see becchio coming back on loan until the end of the season and BMD bringing in the quality winger he wants. Chris Burke, Luke Rowe? watch this space. I can also see Hunt going out on loan to build his confidence. I am the oracle <ok>

Has Houghton really "only had 14 minutes of game time this season?"

    Morning all <ok>

The grass isnt always greener blah blah blah.

Becchio is meant to be a terrible trainer, Houghton probably wants more out of him before risking a shirt. Not to mention the quality they brought in. Norwich were banging on about Hooper for ages, failed to sign him and then brought in Becchio. Is it really any surprise he isnt starting after they managed to land Hooper a while after and splashed some serious cash? They got Leroy Fer as well as a few others. I wonder if a cheeky bid for wes hoolahan maybe worth a try? Cant see where Becchio fits in now if I'm honest, so its probably a no for me in taking him back.

Tommy Rowe is a left winger currently playing left back in a fast sinking Peterborough side. He'd fit perfectly into our current formation at LWB, wouldn't cost much as he's out of contract in the summer, and he's a Leeds fan which is always a bonus.
Would be a fantastic signing <ok>

Morning all. Feel a bit sorry for Becchio. He isn't now our first choice to bring back. Maybe a deal can be done on Blackstock. Maybe a loan until the end of the season.

What worries me is that 352 with McCormack + AN Other is working. What happens if we get a genuine winger and change the formation? All a bit unsettling

Now that my computer is playing ball, I can comment on LiE's post. Would Rowe do a better job at both defending and attacking than either Warnock or Pugh? He might give us a better attacking option, but is his defensive game better than Warnock or Pugh?

I like Rowe and have watched his progress for a couple of years as I always saw him as somewhat of an understudy to George Boyd - think he'd be a great signing. Didn't know he was a Leeds fan but that only increases my affection. He is sidelined until January though so I don't see anything happening until next summer when his contract runs out unless we can get him for cheap at the end of January.
Did anyone else see Pugh's nutmeg on the 'Boro RM last weekend... quality.

Dukes, morning fella Pugh has surprised a few including myself. Lets hope he can keep it up as he could do with paying back a chunk of his wages!

Always thought Pugh was under-rated, & playing as a LWB appears to be showing him off well. Just adds to BMD's credibility in that he changes the formation and is now getting the best out of players Colin didn't look twice at. Also shows up just how past it Warnock was.... is!!!

Anyone reported that you can't 'like' a posting? (Or is it my lappie messing me around?).

Another point - I can't post here on my phone. Never been able to. Is this just a problem with me or my windows phone? Or is a special app required?
