Breath of fresh air to be honest. I think Carra is also very good yesterday - he was talking about zonal marking yesterday and provided a great insight.

Trying to talk the coach of my lads local team into changing to zonal marking, they got smashed last weekend from corners.

I know this is derailing but it seriously annoys me how people continue to slate the system.

It's not the system that is the problem, is the execution.

Jamie made a great point that echoes my own - with man marking, no one criticises the system, they criticise the man. Why? BEcause it's easier to blame one man.

With zonal marking, it's easier to criticise the system as a whole - Jamie then said that he knows the system so would be able to identify the individuals who are at fault.

Can't stand the prick, but he's a bloody good pundit..
Also, without "trying" to be biased, our Lad Carra is none too shabby either!

neville is the best pundit. carra is just ok.

the motd stuff is dross. you can make a hell of a good show out of highlights but they fail to. they are stuck in the 80s or something with two fellas sitting in armchairs waffling while at least sky analyse whats gone on.

mtod need to spend more in the analysis side (ie staff to prepare the stuff) to compete i think. spend less on expensive pundits and more and content.

MOTD is the worst programme - zero analysis, smug presenter, and 'pundits' who are more concerned with telling jokes or trying to come off as funny/witty.

And Michael Owen on BT last week was embarrassing. Basically said Flanno was a natural left back, and 'Cissokho' scored twice for France that week.

I did hear that on the day and did double take.

Getting the player wrong is unforgivable. making a slip if he meant a natural full back... well ok but as the expert sitting beside some guy you would think some homework would be in order.

I think these guys are so rih that they do this from boredom but are certainly unwilling to actually really wrok at it... turn up and spoof.

I hated Ratboy as a player for obvious reasons, but there's no doubt he's turned into an excellent pundit/analyst.
    Who'd have thought it?
    The world's turned upside down.

Actually you may be right. Hansen, Lawro and Shearer turned into **** pundits, so maybe Red Nev is the exception to the rule? :)

You never know. Maybe Rooney will turn out to be a genius.

He did go to my old school, after all.

Jamie and Carra are very good.

BBC should have Martin Tyler/A.N.Other from 606 present (they generally are knowledgable) and then say Neville, Carra, Pat Nevin (brilliant) etc. Articulate men who watch a lot of football. Not Dion Dublin.

BBC main pundits are that bad when Savage is occasionally on he looks a footballing genius in comparison!

Gnev is good because he from the start has remained neutral. Analysing the football not the club. Carra is almost as good but talks too much lol.

I like Hanson personally. He knows his stuff and as a defender I am interested in what he has to stay.

I'd agree regarding Lawro, and although I like Shearer, he isn't the greatest pundit.
