If he looks after himself I see no reason why he can't get 100 caps.

    I think he should.
He's gone up from a 1/10 to a 2/10 player for me so that makes him head and shoulders above anyone else.

On a serious note if players were actually picked on form he'd be close to the squad.... buy Woy won't travel this far North as the FA think we are clearly in Scotland.

Woy and JFK have a lot in common, I wouldn't be surprised if they're best mates and JFK has filled him in about Willo's new found star status.

We'll no doubt be seeing him at SJP soon.

After his stepovers and 100% cross success rate at the weekend - maybe England should call him up to solve the old left wing problem!

Obviously my remarks are tongue in cheek but the guy is in ridiculous form. His passing and selection of when to play has improved beyond belief. This notion that Pardew some how makes players worse (which is a complete crock of ****e for me), seems a bit hollow when you look at Willo.

Coaching is one thing, but confidence is such a funny thing in football. The team is unrecognisble from the poor saps which limped over the line last season. We've only added Remy and even his biggest fans wouldn't suggest he is the sole reason for our uplift in performance. Early doors Saturday there were some lovely little passing triangles. Cheick is at the heart of it. He has gone back to to pass and move 5 yards for te next and looks a whole lot better for it. Just stop shooting!

Got to say some players who seemed to have gone backwards or suddenly going forwards again, Williamson in best form for the club right now, Tiote getting back to his best.

The sad thing for England is that he is almost certainly in better form than any of the centre backs who will go. Let's hope it lasts cos he's been immense since the game at Goodison.

Can't put the blame entirely on Cheick. Part of the blame falls on the fans who egg him on with shouts of "Shooooooooooooot"

I believe strongly these people need put in stocks in the city centre so other fans can throw things at them for spoiling their day. Not tomatoes though, maybe coconuts.

I would love to know exactly what fcked things up so badly last season. Maybe it was a load of niggly factors. Maybe we really did "do a Moyes" (as in finish incredibly low after finishing absurdly high). One thing that's in question is quite what Pardew is doing this year, because he has clearly learned lessons. To see even Mike Williamson comfortable on the ball is a simply phenomenal feat of coaching. Willo's just sticking his neck in, getting it safe as a priority and you can clearly see the identity Pardew's stamped on him - "this is your job, do that job and you'll be brilliant. If you don't fancy the pass, just get it clear - no-one scored direct from a throw-in on the halfway line".

I also think the introduction of Shola has helped. Gives Willo something big to aim at. But as per the OP, I think Willo deserves a shot, but as I struggle to see an identity to the England team (NUFC have a ball winner and a ball player as CB's, England just pick whoever's available from the highest-placed clubs in the league) then I can't see him getting a shot.
