This. Most definitely one of the best things to happen to us. Gave us a ****ing great big slap and got rid of some of the money leaches with no passion
considering we only won 6 games all season, dont know how we got to the last day tbh! but it was the best thing that happened to us! we're a better team through it and have players who want to play for the team rather then play for there bank accounts! a certain bench warmer with a premier league medal springs to mind
100% yes. It's what happens when players don't give a **** anymore and the owner and fans (quite a few of us tbh) get complacent. Like CBP said, it bore a silver lining when the club was cleared of the likes of Duff, Owen, Viduka, Martins etc and let us rebuild and hopefully stabilise from the bottom up.
Looking back at the time I'd of said no but with time yes, we were an utter shambles from top to bottom and became the joke of the game. Far too many shocking decisions from above, far too many managers and far too many draws on the pitch.
34 points yes, the only reason Hull and Sunderland stay up that year was because there was too much **** down there.
yes defo it managed to beat a real team spirit imto us for the first time since like 2002/3 got rid of all the money whores like duff and owen aswell
If you finish in the bottom three, you deserve to go down. From the moment Ashley brought in guys from Youtube and Wise, our fate was well on the way to being sealed.
