Micky Leach, we had a team of stars but every team needed a Micky Leach,no nonsence just got on with it, legend is banded about for players but Micky was a true Rangers legend. RIP Micky Leach
None of these guys fit the bill, I want players that you loved even though everyone else hated. Swords' offering of George Santos is spot on - I wouldn't have thought that anyone liked him. Mick Leach was generally appreciated, and Thompson started scoring straight away, they aren't guilty pleasures. Devon White may count, but he did have a fan base - anyone who can score with his knee and bum will get fans!!
Okay then RR, Mark Dennis or Gavin McGuire, couple of thugs but they put the fear of god into everybody.
He did a really good job for us for a while at least, remember him banging in the goals. What were his stats anyone?
Hello everyone, first post!! Personally, i always loved Marc Nygaard. Although he was useless it was just the fact that when the game had already been lost he'd always get subbed on and just throw himself into any player nearby, and that at least provided some entertainment, and a player that everyone seemed to love to get annoyed at!
Spot on Orpington. Welcome to the site. I'm sure we all remember Nygaard's volley against Leicester (it was leicester wasn't it?), but he wasn't much loved. Useless big oaf that he was!
hasta be: Kiwomya..oh oh oh oh oh He came from arse-enal He costed the R's fu@k all Kiwomya..oh oh oh oh oh I loved it when he was playing for us.
I'm still hoping that someone will come up with Hulse as the "guilty pleasure". I'm not sure that we are near to producing a team yet. There must be more out there. Someone who like Sammy Koejoe, or Chris Barker.
As you've stuck your head above the parapets, you've not picked a real one yet Northolt. Waddock doesn't count, we all were desperate for him to shoot, let alone score. So, who is your "guilty pleasure" then?
