Got to agree mate. that is disgusting. So Groves was letting Froch come onto him for a round, he had enough of a cushion to do that. Unless there was a SERIOUS problem with his eye the referee's character is seriously in question here.
I'll ****ing take it. Groves did himself proud but for Carl to take that and still give that at the end. Controversial but that's what happens when you act a ****. The works treats you like a ****. Just seen the replay and Carlos landed too many nasty punches at the end. That's probably actually a good decision. If a bit cautious.
You CANNOT stop a fight on the basis of one round when someone is at least 4 points up. Groves didn't even get a count. That is a referee who has been told to take the slightest chance to end the fight. Utter disgrace.
Telling as well that Grove's face looks far worse than froch's. If that had gone on groves would have received some horrible damage. The call was made too early but it was the right call.
Groves has a bad eye, Froch's face is a mess One side of his face is swelled twice as big as the other, can hardly see his left eye.
Was the face marked from genuine punches tho or a few dirty elbows/heads etc. Great fight from two great boxers just frustrated.
