That was a disgraceful action by the stewards. Whoever decided they should do that should be sacked. Wonder if the police told them to back off??

Well done to those who joined in to support those trying to win the tug of war.

As I've said many times on here I'll not protest against the owner but I will immediately support the rights of those fans, who wish to, to do so.

    CTID

Ps. Shame the fans didn't sing as loud to support the team as well as they did to protest the name-change!!!

Todays Tug Of War will go down in history, this was more than a phycical tug of war, this was 109 years of our history being defended by us all, a large majority of todays attendance were in spirit pulling that banner back from the stewards.
Theres a long way to go but we stood up together today and that means a hell of a lot.

    It was quite obviously Allam.

Agree with this and I hate the groaning attitude but let's not confuse it with the protests (I'm not suggesting you're trying to, but someone will)

If I was you I'd try harder to base your opinions on facts rather than twisting reality into a shape that fits you own bias. Just might make you look less of a twat!

When this happened the fans did brilliant kept the flag and the atmosphere was great but like its said on here its over 100 years of history having said that the crowd should be vocal like that for every league game because if they don't back this team with that passion it could make the next 100 years go in a total different direction to the premier league

I don't know who ordered it, but I think it stinks of Cooper and the Health and Safety windmill he likes to tilt at!

I feel sorry for them. They can't disobey a direct order like that.

Genuinely don't know what you're on about here. Are you suggesting it wasn't Allam who told them to take the banner? Surely no one actually believes any other version of events?

There were other flags in the ground which weren't taken , and they're always there. Seems a bit of a coincidence that the one that Allam doesn't like is the one that gets removed. I find it utterly incredible that anyone would believe anything other than that he told them to remove it.

I'm not sure Allam explicitly ordered it. It could have just been the steward's manager knowing that it would be pissing off Allam and telling them to do it.

So why the **** aren't you been positive?

All i see from you these days is moaning, you used to be a decent poster, but now all you do is moan.

Practice what you preach my friend.

I think the CTWD campaign do need to work on getting the atmosphere going all game, so that it doesn't show negatively on them that they only seem to sing at certain points.

Yes and No, i don't think the name change was the reason we didn't sing. I think the reason we didn't sing was because of the perfomance on the pitch and nothing else. However people like yourself and people on the pro name change side will use the shocking atmosphere as an excuse to bash the fans on the CTWD campaign, that is the only reason for the last part of my post.

May i ask why didn't you and your mates sing?

I'm not bashing anyone. More gusto was put into the protest than supporting the team. Priorities. Its up to you.

There was a young looking bloke in a suit and City tie down there who looked to be calming it down. Was it Ash Lord? Hardest job in the world that kid.

Only the incredibly biased could possibly believe that was anything other than a direct order from Allam. It's blindingly obvious.

But he's doing it unbelievably well - He's been on twitter tonight giving out information to some of the fans wanting to complain - and they're actually praising him. Must be really hard to do the job he's doing, but still keep a good rep with the fans.
