Clown and muppets... Ruiz, Berba and Taarabt. Today there was a first step of changes. 4-3-1-2. But the wrong selection of players. Kasami behind Berba and Bent. Ruiz can play because he simply does not run. He is like sleep walking. Start with Sidwell, Parker and Biateng.
why would you want sidwell and parker in the middle. its them two thats played nearly every game yet you cant win. jol never has the bottle to drop berbatov. adel taarabt gets 4 mins again. the guy has got so much class and should be starting games. he was the best player on the pitch when qpr beat chelsea away
I simply do not understand why some of the youngsters - those who are 18, 19 20 are not playing in place of some of the misfits we have at present. Today Berkley played for Everton - 19 years old in the middle of a high pressure local derby - and looked perfectly and ease and played very well. Are our lads simply not of this class and we are kidding ourselves that our youth is talented - like Briggs was thought to be yet actually isn't (although I think this is unlikely with the current group, especially Dembele)? Or is it just pure short-sightedness and a lack of will to at least try something different. I'd rather we went down with a group of young players giving there all and learning through the experience than a bunch of over-paid lazy buggers strolling about not giving two ****s if we went down or not.
What's the point fellas? Should we just contribute to an off topic thread and ignore all FFC related news/fixtures/results? We are going down this season, might as well just accept it really. There's nothing to this team but a bunch of 'names' and has beens. Jol will be here come the next game and we will lose. The wrong players will be picked and played in their unnatural positions. Berbatov and Ruiz will start. Nobody under 25 will play at any point bar Kasami, and baffling substitutions like today (Parker off, Sidwell on, Boateng off) will continue to be made. We should have cut our losses and fired Jol weeks ago and brought someone in whose ideas aren't ancient. Can't blame Rene, he's on a hiding to nothing and only serves as a barrier between Jol and the dole que.
why was taarabt not starting? ok revenge is sweet but we are not firing on all cylinders at the moment either, I like jol but like every manager he has lost his way at fulham and maybe a move away and a new manager will be best for both jol and fulham..
Thanks lads for the 3 points! hope you get your shape back soon, great club..........................
As Bandit says there is no point discussing about Fulham any more. Is like talking to a wall. Before I take a break from posting I thought to write about the game. Relegation is only certain at the moment. There are positives though. All dead wood will go and cheaper ticket prices.if I was given an option to return my season ticket for a refund I will do at this point. There was a definite wind of change. 4-3-1-2 the system. Player selection completely wrong in the midfield. Putting Kasami that back meant that Ruiz had to cover the hole... He didn't, he fell in! Berba was lost to what he was supposed to be doing. Didn't win a single battle apart from a header. Useless. At points we played better but my god. There is no plan. Nobody knows what is doing. Lost in space. Starting with 9 men is not helping. My next idea will be a 4-4-1-1 with Dejagah and Kaca on the wings, Kasami behind Bent. Drop Berba and Ruiz and let them rot. We may not be able to afford it financially but we owe it to the rest. He lost his captain armband. Just drop him. The other one send him to train alone. Not the reserves as he will infect them too. And Jol just shut up and stop giving press conferences. Get someone else to do it. Afraid of Swansea? Really? Who is left then? What about West Ham next week? What shall we expect? And believe me guys, it is worse than Sanchez. Much worse. To all the Jol faithful good luck but if that was your team or business you wouldn't let an idiot ruin it....
Was everyone expecting a miraculous change of play with the new coach coming in? We didn't have much of the possession admittedly but if Bent had taken one maybe 2 of his chances it would have been a different game. Another last gasp winner and their goal was an own goal!
If Sunderland & Stoke had taken their chances with all the play they had we would have been 6 points less
I haven't given up yet ! There is nothing much to say that is positive and all talk on forums and around the ground is very depressing. To be fair though Rene had two days with the full squad once they returned from International duty - Our problems are more than a two day fix ! Individually we have good players that should easily be able to achieve mid table mediocrity. Unfortunately we need to give the guy more time. The West Ham game should be interesting. They have been just as bad as us and although it is away I would hope we might see more of a game plan and players working together more. It's going to be a horrible season but if Jol is going to be with us for the rest of the season/few months then we need to be supporting the team.
Absolutely COYW. Although I was in Mcbrides for a consoling beer on Sunday I came out thinking that I think it's going to work. I only saw the highlights but if Swansea had most of the possession was it actually in the final 3rd? I know I'm one for stats but Bent hit the post and missed some sitters that with a couple more games I reckon he will start scoring.
As a Glass-Half-Full supporter through thick and thin I'll go with your view. Although, I'm not sure how long we can continue this mess - 3 wins out of 16 home (I heard) is a ridiculous for a group of players that ought to be doing much better - It is a nonsense to persisting with the Bent/Berbatov/Ruiz triangle, where Ruiz gets left contributing little. So I'll be at the next home match, staying positive (although playing Ruiz & Senderos undemines this), and hoping that something clicks before it's too late. C O Y W !
