Was checking out the Charlton forum to see if there was any action on it (as dull as Alan Curbishley). But found this hilarious Championship prediction thread: http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/221864-Championship-Predictions We were predicted to be the big underachievers "QPR I anticipate to struggle" "QPR I just dont think their squad are Championship material and even though they do have class, you need grit as well." "QPR I can see pushing for the playoffs but failing, horribly run club up there with Blackburn in sides I'd want to see go down." "Underachievers - QPR (lower mid table)" "Underachievers: Queens Park Rangers - I think that they will struggle with Championship Football, similarly with what we saw with Blackburn Rovers they failed to adapt. The fans will be expecting too much of the team, and whenever they go behind, they'll be on their backs. They'll finish a disappointing 10th." "Relegation:Yeovil, QPR, Barnsley" please log in to view this image Now I want to beat them even more, hopefully they are the first team we give a proper hiding this season.
Let's not count our chickens before they hatch lads! Let's get promotion first - then we can come back 'sunny side up' and give them a good old scrambling......
Austin will be the poacher, and if the atmosphere is boiling, I'm a-fried Charlton could be shell-shocked... I'm just sorry we never signed that South African International, McCarthy. Then I could have written that 'Benny dicked around and still beat them......
If you ask three things they know about Charlton they say: "Played for Manchester United and England. Bald - with a comb-over. Survived Munich air crash." Says a lot really.
I hope we fertilise them, their cells split and any new born gets the full Charlton 16 set of chromosomes
The Charlton fans were just expressing their opinions at the time ie. pre-season. With the season we had last year, it is understandable. We were in a mess. The fact we are where we are now says lots about the club, the Manager and the players. I for one will be waiting till we are promoted before reacting to their predictions.
