The board sacked him, not the fans.

If he is a success and keeps us up with constant improvemnt next season and beyond, then there's no better place for the guy. Build it and they will come as they say.

The only way i can see him leaving is if the Owners ambition didn't match up with his, i don't think that will be the case as Ellis has gone on record with his ambitions for the club and he wants what we all want, a full stadium with a team challenging for honours. Why would a ny manager walk away from that?

My brother's been doing the same for years on blogonthetyne where he pretends to be a mag. I can't see the point myself, but it seems to amuse him.

You bring it on yourself tbh.

If you're not finding new ways to find a problem, you're having a pop at Sunderland supporters or contradicting yourself.

In the space of only a few months you criticise Sunderland supporters then act worse yourself ............... people should 'grow up' because they boo at half time but you actually boycott the games <doh>

MON is first terrible then wonderful and then should be given time then you want him out.

You're a great one to be lecturing other people on kneejerking.

I think my point in the threads you listed were valid. And I also believe this thread is valid and should be treated with respect... You call for other people to post and then collectively push them away, it's strange.

You'll be treated with respect when you earn it.

You've never come close to demanding any respect from anyone.

ignoring the obvious attempt at a wind up.

the answer to the question will be answered quite simply be how successful Gus can make us. If we become a top half club, but hit a glass ceiling that means we cant push higher than 7th then Gus will move on if a champs league calibre club come calling (and rightly so).

however if he can build a legacy here and get us competing for silverware (cups at least, if not league) and frequently in the top 6, then he will get more recognition by building us up than taking over a club like Real Madrid where they win titles by buying $$$$$$ players.

Your point was that MON was bad, good, bad, good then bad again.

You criticised people for booing his side then decide you're boycotting the games.

Post what you like but expect people to give their opinion. If you want carte blanche then you're posting on the wrong forum.

Because - contrary to his user name, I guess he's not a "supporter" of our club!
