Ok I reckon it will be a tough scrap. Apparently Palace were much more committed in their last match with Millen in charge and if Pulis is watching they'll want to do well.
I honestly think we'll win, because Brucey will want the fans to remain positive in light of what's happening with the Club. I think Gedo and Sagbo should play upfront, it sounds like Gedo had a good game against whoever it was Egypt played. Palace look as though they have the fight, but no end product. They'll make it difficult for us to score, but they are have very little threat when attacking so it's just sustaining the pressure throughout the match and hopefully the persistence pays off.
How refreshing to speak about a football match. An early goal would be very helpful please, but I have a bad feeling about this one.
I like the look of that. If Sagbo and Gedo could form a good partnership things would look a lot rosier.
Keith Millens last game in charge ""apparantly"" as Tony Pulis could be the man from monday reports still suggest. All PL games are hard but if Hull City play anything like then we shall win simples. Some very interesting games this weekend and we can pull further away from the drop zone. With Brady back that should be enough. imo.
Shame that Quinniesta is out but i would go with Koren in the hole. Also it depends when Figueroa and Gedo get back to Hull. Fatigue could well play a part with both. Figgs played the full game for Honduras wednesday in Houston-Texas against Ecuador. Gedo as we know played tuesday for Egypt.
rest McGregor dont rush him back as Harper is doing ok - and rest Brady is he isnt 100% otherwise Harper Rosenior McShane Davies Fig Hudd Livermore Elmo ---------------- Boyd Sagbo Graham (Gedo if fit )
This website seems to think that Palace's players have played better than our players so far this season http://www.whoscored.com/Matches/720171/Preview/?
Huddlestone won't be playing, I heard on good authority that he's handed his contract back to AA & asked for a refund, said he signed to play for HCAFC & not HCT. Honest.
keith millen quotes pre-match vs hull city/ Keith Millen spoke to the press this afternoon ahead of our trip to face Steve Bruce’s Hull City on Saturday, his quotes in full are attached below: I spoke to the chairman on Tuesday and saw the chief exec this morning. They are in discussions, but I don’t know who with. I’ve been told to take training. My desk has been moved – I don’t know if that’s a sign! We’ve got the squad prepared to travel tomorrow for the game at Hull. We are looking forward to the game. It’s a massive game, Saturday. It’s a good job, it’s a good club to work for. It’s a compliment to myself and the staff that the chairman hasn’t felt rushed into a decision. We haven’t changed too much over the past 3-4 weeks but the players have just got on with it. There have been no discussions about staff. Iain Moody has taken over one of the offices. I think if you look at what’s needed, Tony (Pulis) is an experienced manager at this level. I think that would only be a good thing for the club and the players. We need someone Premier League experience because a lot of us are very new to this level. We have got to look at the next four games. They are games we feel we can take points from. There are enough points to fight for, no doubt. Certainly, short-term, we have got to get some wins. They (the squad) would need assessing quickly. We haven’t got a lot of time now. After Saturday, we haven’t got a bedding-in period. Jonny Williams is back in the squad. It’s great to have him back. KG, Jedinak and Bannan are all OK (after international duty). It’s been an honour to take charge of these players and this club. Hopefully in my career there are more chances like this. I’ve supported Palace all my life. I’m proud of the response the players gave me. Ultimately though we need to start winning football matches and that’s what we are aiming to do Saturday. Hull got promoted with us last year, so we know all about them and it’s going to be a tough test for us. Hull have probably adapted the quickest out of the three clubs that went up. We have got to get on a decent run. The next four games we feel can keep us in touching distance of the other teams. It’s a tough place to go. They’re unbeaten at home. The standout performance was at Newcastle where they won 3-2. We do our homework but this one is one of those difficult to read. I think the first goal could be important. It’s how you respond to going a goal down as well. When the chances come along, we have to. The first goal could be really important on Saturday. But our players have more belief that if we do concede, we can get back into games. The performance will hopefully get you the points. But the three points are massive at this level. Every point is so important. Every game we look at the positives – and there have been plenty. Key moments in games have gone against us. We’ve got to turn that. Mile won an award, sportsmen of the year. It shows what a great job he’s done at Crystal Palace over the year. It looks like this could be my last game. I’ve just tried to stay focused. It’s probably dragged on now and moved on now as a group. It’s not right to talk about staffing issues until a new man does come in. He will assess what’s here and see if he’s happy with us.
Massive game this because Liverpool and Arsenal follow so this is the best chance to get some points but it will be difficult lets hope we do it. For this one forget the the owners and get behind the team, take your anger out on Palace come on City
