It's been a particulary terrifying couple of days for us Jocks and our pursuit of a socialist utopia . First the Welsh first minister said he would personally put the kibosh on a shared currency if Scotland votes for independence. Yes , Taffy Williams or what ever his name is , isne keen on keeping the pound zone and will use his influence (him being in charge of the part of the UK that brings the sum total of **** all to the table apart fea a few million sheep and an accent that only dolphins can understand) to scupper our hopes for free trades for the benefit of all those who actually have something to trade . This means Scotland will need it own currency . Oh wait we already have our own currency . I think we should just keep calling it the pound though . Today's is even better . No more Dr Who after independence . Here that's filmed in Wales int it ? Taffy conspiracy I tells ya . That's a clincher for me then . Ram yer time travelling , two hearted dandy . It could be a bit embarrassing though because the new Docs a Scot . He can travel anywhere in space and time apart fea home to see his mammy .
I shall be voting Yes, even though supposedly those who haven't resided in the country for 3 months or more do not actually get a vote, at which point I won't be voting for **** all. ST, is this true? Kindly advise. Regards, A fellow Aye voter x

I'm not sure to be honest. I suspect so otherwise they wouldn't be looking at keeping the pound. It's ours as much as anyone elses.
Makes sense though Trev - if they said they'd introduce a new currency overnight in tehe evnt of a yes vote many people would brick themselves and vote against. they're not daft - they want to guarantee as much stability as possible even if it's only in the short to mid term.. One thing i don't understand is what influence an independent Scottish Government would have with the bank of England. It would have to have some surely?
They seem to be forgetting that if they stop us from using the pound we wont have to pay our share of the national debt.
