Supply and demand? The additional tourists need to be catered for - this will mean additional jobs in bars, restaurants, events venues, hotels etc... amongst the roles which will be more directly associated with the cultural events on offer.
In keeping with the culture of the city, I'd imagine performing arts would be limited to Jeremy Kyle live at the truck theatre.
http://www.buzzfeed.com/jimwaterson/jawdroppingly-exciting-things-to-celebrate-about-hull Who's the **** having a pint on top of the bus stop?
Good question. Don't misinterpret, I'm ****ing delighted by us winning. Indirectly it'll benefit those places and its people, but I'd also like to think, it'll directly reach the places you mention where plenty of Hullensians live. Hopefully, the tougue shall be split and every **** in Hull will have a little bit. One of the things I actually hope comes out of this is that it'll change views inside the city too. Get people in the city talking up their city.
Ha ha!! to you as well, How's things working out with agent Lomax? Not606hull forum update. It's been pretty quiet round here lately to be honest, not much going on at all. You're welcome
"When's the TARDIS ever landed in Hull?" Actually, theres a Tardis in Princes Quay right now as part of the film buff exhibition promotion.
Today's news was great for the City. Just need that to be followed up with an announcement from Siemens to give the City an industry beyond 2017.
Bransholme is big, but really, no worse than most council estates. Those houses look like a row of condemned houses; purposefully used (in this case) to trick the weak minded.
I also noticed this in the blurb "The year will climax with a stadium-filling 'Sonic Lumiere' show which will be choreographed by the Hull-based , internationally acclaimed Durham Marenghi. His previous credits include lighting the London Olympics, The Queen’s Golden Jubilee and Pink Floyd’s The Wall. What stadium? Do HCC have to ask Mr A if its the KC which i assume it is?
In answer to your question; Hull...I never said I agreed with him, though I did think it was profound..and still do.
