Hi guys i know you lot are looking for a deal for Nzogbia but i whould like to clear a few things up just so you can hear the facts from a wigan fans side of things not just rumors and a sunderland prespective Firstly Charles N'Zogbia says he wants to join an ambitious club who will be challenging for honours. "Now they know that I want to sign with a bigger club, who can play in Europe and also help me with France. But he also said if he cant get to a top club he will stay "I said to them that if I am still at Wigan then I would give them 200 per cent, as I am loyal to the club" He will move away from the PL to get into a top side "A big club for me is one that plays in Europe, and which has the goal of winning the title - that may be in England, France, Spain or Italy," so guys sorry to say but i dont belive you have a chance with this player if he does go to you then i will be on here telling you how good he was all season but please just because you have money does not mean he wants to go to you no offence
Bloody hell mate. Are you just out for some ****? He may well not see Sunderland as helping his French career and if that's true. He'll defiantly leave Wigan.
Wigan have quoted £8m to a team in Europe next season or £12m to any other club. That to me, sounds like the club are looking to offload him to raise funds for transfers. I seriously doubt that Charlie will be a Wigan player come August.
Haha, good point. I really dislike Wigan and that Grave dodger of a Chairman theyve got, I Really wish they went down!
I've nowt against Wigan, and you have to remember that in a relatively small town they are competing against the far more popular rugby league team for support. The Wigan fans that have ventured on our board are on the whole a leve-headed lot, and I think this one is no different. He is right to point out that we have not qualified for Europe in a long time. However, I believe he is wrong to suggest that we are not potential challengers, and without our terrible run of injuries, we may have qualified this year. As far as N'Zogbia is concerned, whether he comes or not will be defined by finance and not loyalty.
Firstly Charles N'Zogbia says he wants to join an ambitious club who will be challenging for honours. "Now they know that I want to sign with a bigger club, who can play in Europe and also help me with France. When Joke in Ear was the Mags manager he reckoned there wasn't a week went by when old Charlie wasn't going into his office saying "Man Utd are after me!" "Real Madrid are interested" etc. Joke in Ear got sick and tired of it and told him he could go. No disrespect to your club at all mate but he ended up with Wigan. Not the Benebeu or even Bayern Munich or even Lyons. He ended up in Wigan. So, we'll see where Tail End Charlie N'zogbia ends up in the summer. If we do get him and sign that useless bugger from Liverpool whichever company makes the "apostrophes" for the backs of shirts is in for a killing in Sunderland. What do you Latics really think of this fellah anyway? But he also said if he cant get to a top club he will stay "I said to them that if I am still at Wigan then I would give them 200 per cent, as I am loyal to the club" He will move away from the PL to get into a top side "A big club for me is one that plays in Europe, and which has the goal of winning the title - that may be in England, France, Spain or Italy," so guys sorry to say but i dont belive you have a chance with this player if he does go to you then i will be on here telling you how good he was all season but please just because you have money does not mean he wants to go to you no offence[/QUOTE]
Wigan fans boiled my pi$$ on another forum when we signed Catt and were linked with Fig. They come across as a very arrogant bunch despite being such a small club!!
I can understand Zog wanting to play for a "big" club in Europe and I can understand Wigan wanting to keep him. But only Liverpool have made any noises (if you believe what you read) about him and us or the mags seem to be the best he'll get, which he'll have to lump.
If any of the top clubs were seriously interested in him, he would not have spent the last couple of seasons playing for Wigan, now would he?
I have it on very good authority that hes coming back to us, wants to link up with Cabaye apparently.
Cheers, although I was one of us that didn't want him to go. I just hope that the money is spent wisely on players that will actually improve the squad, not just keep us treading water in the premier league. The club have broken cover with the squad filling players that they are after, but seem to be keeping very quiet about any top targets, which is understandable I suppose. It's going to be a very long summer!
I get that, trust me I know what its like to lose a local lad with potential, but just think with all that money you could unearth a few bargains ala, Tiote & Cabaye who could turn out to be better, all depends on how astute Bruce can be in the transfer market and how good your scouting team is.
They all want to play for big clubs but the big clubs have the pick of the pack and, as none of them are sniffing around Nzogbia with something resembling serious intent the it seems they are simply not that interested. I',m just going to sit back and see what develops here.
Guys i am honestly not trying to do anything outher then point out the facts that he is big headed and thinks he is the best so whether you think you are challangers or not is compleatly different to nzogbias view on thing also i am just saying there is even a possibility that he will stay with us again "Wigan fans boiled my pi$$ on another forum when we signed Catt and were linked with Fig. They come across as a very arrogant bunch despite being such a small club!!" why what have i done i have raised a suggestion that there is a small chance he will stay with us was it not the same for you lot and henderson "Bloody hell mate. Are you just out for some ****? He may well not see Sunderland as helping his French career and if that's true. He'll defiantly leave Wigan." yes thats what i was saying it the whole thing he has said he wants to leave for a club in europe not sunderland and not wigan
