On United's plans for the January transfer window, the former England defender added: "We have a fantastic squad as it is. In the transfer window early on in the season we were looking for players, that was well documented. "That search continues. We need to keep reinvesting in the squad because if you stand still in this league you get left behind, as Manchester City found out last season when they didn't strengthen as much and they ended up losing the league [title]. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24971371 its good to see the coaches and manager know that we need strengthening in some areas.
Yes they weren't the best (Man City) but it stills comes across as arrogant imo but then ive never been a big Phil Neville fan anyway
Ex Utd, Blue then Utd again as staff and a Neville! (Although Gary is good as a pundit, not as good as Carragher but still good) Phil was never going to be my favourite!
Of course he wasn't, i'm glad he's back with us, he's utd thorugh and through, he'll help Moyes settle into the club.
I'm not a fan of Phil Neville. Don't see how he is qualified to be a no2 at united season after retiring. I'd rather Phelan an mulenwhateverhisname is stayed.
Exactly, I thought Moyes ****ed up royally when getting rid of Phelan and the other bloke (I know who you mean) to replace with Phil. I even put a post on here about it at the time. But oh well, in Moyes we trust
its a masterstroke by Moyes in my opinion bringing in Neville someone who's a United fan and played for the club.
Think that's irrelevant mat. Would you not rather someone with proven track record? Just because he played for us means nothing. He has been at Everton for 10 years.
Oh well, guess time will tell but he shouldve kept Phelan there at least I reckon. Ferguson even advised him against getting rid of him didnt he?
Moyes was entitled to bring in back room staff he felt comfortable with but for me Mulenstein was a mistake and a great loss. Phelan was not much more than Fergie`s yes man but i always thought he gave a better after match interview than Fergie, a lot more honest and open.
Mulenstein is the member of staff Moyes should have kept on, even if only for one season. Moyes staff would probably have found the transition a much smoother ride.
Don't see why it would be construed as arrogant? Facts are facts Instead of the likes of RVP we brought in the dreadful Garcia et al
