Hell's teeth, I thought they'd be stronger than that!
You'd be better off going down the offy & getting 4ltrs of white cider for 6 knicker, 7.5% mate, cheap as **** & gets you levelled. <ok>.

5% would be ok. Carly Export is fine especially on draught, ordinary Carly however is worse than Fosters. ****e in other words.
Dunno if you like wine marra but ASDA have some good deals on. 3 bottles for a tenna on certain ones.

It's all about swings & roundabouts, depends what you're gonna do.
If I'm going out for a few beers, then Ill drink the strong ones but if it's gonna be an all day sesh then there's nee point in being levelled after 5 pints.
I used to love Elsie Ell but it ****ed me up. Now down my local club I drink Sam Smith's Sovereign Bitter & at £1.80 a pint is very good value. Or you could have Caffrey's Irish at the same price, while the pish Carling is £2.80.

If I fancy a drink in the house then I just stick to the cider, like I say, cheap as chips & strong enough.
    Each to their own though.

One time I was in the local ASDA & saw this Becks Blue which was cheap as ****, now I've been to Germany a few times & if there's one thing the Germans are good at it's making beer. Anyhow, I bought a few of this stuff & I'm thinking, God, this is ****. Then when I read the label I saw it was the none alcoholic version of Becks, <doh>.
    Bastard ASDA.

Dont like strong beer tbh. If I want strong alcohol I'll drink whisky.

I usually drink Tennents by the gallon as it's only 4% Can't get it down south though. It's a right bugger.

Iceland are doing pint cans of Carlsberg Export 4.8% pound a pint! Best deal I've found lately, when that offer is finished it will be back onto Tyskie 5.6% which I can get for a very reasonable 90p a 500ml can from my local polish shop.

Beer and lager is quickly catching up to wine in the stakes on snobbishness and pretention.

Having said that, I tend to make my way along the supermarket aisle of world beers. Enjoy an IPA and most other lighter ones. Dark ones are just pointless imo.

They're like a meal in a glass. Three pints of the stuff and I feel like had a 3 course meal with second helpings. Prefer a strong crisp Lager myself.
