I don't want him to go but its looking inevitable. Would only be happy if we signed someone who would evoke more excitement than gaston did in the summer of 2012.
Just watch out when doing that as you are likely to infringe copyright laws without reference to the original author!!
If MP or the fans have a problem with Ramirez's workrate, I can't see Banega being a success here. Dude only tries like 1 out of every 5 games. He's the definition of "luxury player."
Just because by some quirk of fortune you may have been right doesn't mean it's justified to write players off before you've seen them play.
Rather than risking good money on certain foreign play makers whose work rate is questionable then we are better off looking closer to home and not gamble millions of pounds on expensive individuals who might grasp the Southampton Way
I think it's patronising that we'll be selling Ramirez because he can't get into the first team. He can't get in because other players are playing better than him, at the moment. A drop in form of the team or an attacking player or an injury and he's in. The same with Cork and Yoshida. We're not little, poor Southampton anymore, for a big team you play your in-form players, doesn't matter what they cost or earn. In general I think we've been so lucky with injuries, suspensions and form.
To be fair though, he did call it. Everyone's so touchy on this forum. CAn't be too critical of footballers, might hurt their feelings.
He says the same thing about all foreign imports, so getting one right is hardly cause for congratulation.
I'd happily sign Will Hughes from Derby if we sold Ramirez. I just did that on FM14 as well, time will tell if that was a good move.
What sold Ramirez? He's quality on FM. If he goes on my FM I'll get £80million for him - that's his release clause.
Bids came in from Dortmund, Real Madrid, Barcelona & PSG amongst others, he was unhappy and wanted to go. I got £35m for him so I can strengthen the whole team with that money
