TV I thought did good today, the corner we conceded was mainly the fault of Ramsey-Giroud for allowing RVP to win it. What was missed were wingers, but then again, even if we had wingers, it wouldn't matter with some of the rubbish we were playing out there. Overall defenders did their jobs today, but the attacking part of our team went missing.
We knock Sagna for his **** crossing, he gave around 2-3 world class crosses today that someone should have met, especially someone like Giroud, so nobody can really say Giroud wasn't provided much. RVP was provided one quality cross and he scored it, that's top quality for you. But remember, RVP isn't good enough for Arsenal according to one poster on here (TOLEDO). This poster also tried to argue that Giroud is better than RVP.
The thing about you Arsenal87 is that you are so certain that what you read from a game is correct. The trouble you have is that you give far too much importance to individual incidents and too little from what having Giroud in the team allows us to do. Giroud didn't have a bad game, and those world-class crosses were fantastic except that they were not to anyone. Might as well blame Szczeney for not heading them in, he wasn't there either. Giroud is a very easy target, just like Ramsey was. You simply pick a player who you think made some mistake or lost the ball too often, and you never see the times he was wide open and never got the ball, or the times he had the ball and no one moved into space to get it. You really should try a little humility and realize that you know far less about the game than you think you do.
Lol, you really are hopeless, I'm not going to waste my finger energy arguing with a deluded person, you need psychiatric help.
Not even saying Giroud was particularly worse than the rest that whole game, but are you ****ing joking with that sentence? Please tell me you are? So meeting the cross has nothing to do with the anticipation of the striker? Just when I think you've reached the apex, you outdo yourself.
Don't bother getting into a discussion with him, he truly is at the far end of the furthest end of delusion. He's the same guy who said RVP isn't good enough for Arsenal, and tried to argue that RVP is lesser than Giroud, just don't waste your finger energy on him. Everybody knows he's deluded.
Meh, Giroud isn't better than RVP and I imagine Toledo finds himself quite often (by which I mean 99.8% of the time) alone when trying to argue otherwise. Problem is, Giroud alone wasn't brought to replace RVP, Podolski was too and that fecker has been out for ages. I'm sure the missus could hear my heart implode when we were reduced to bringing Bendtner on to replace an inneffective OG! Even when Podolski is back I still think we desperately need to bring in a new forward in Jan and I doubt many here will argue that. Oh, and whilst not blaming TV for the goal I think had Mertesacker been playing then he'd have been the one picking up RVP rather than Ramsey/Giroud. One of our saving graces recently has been the unchanged back 4 and the stability that brings. Mixing that up means your communication goes all over the shot.
You make one tongue in cheek comment about RVP not being good enough for us any more, and you guys harp on and on about it, like you have discovered the holy grail. Not to mention the fact that you all keep making posts attacking me personally and then saying you aren't going to discuss the subject. Pretty much what you did before anyway, just without saying you were doing it. Glad to see you have finally realized what you are doing. I would have thought you might have eliminated the insults and started to discuss the subject, but you might get it right sooner or later.
Totally agree, plus Verm isn't great as an organiser, so maybe the BFG would have seen the danger RVP posed and dealt with it, rather than handing it off to non-defenders?
I'm opening this thread again on the premise that people please drop the personal spats and get back on topic
Here here, I for one think Mertesacker is the please log in to view this image And at 6.5% you can't knock it
Mertesacker a very good player, like all CBs who lack pace when they are left exposed by an attacking formation they are there to be attacked by the opposition especially by attackers with pace. Like Skrtel and Vidic they are exposed when they play a high line or get pulled out wide. But when the play is in front of them and also set pieces they are very good. No one defender makes the defence anyway, you always need a ball player with a little pace to compliment your big ****ing ball winner. Vidic had Rio, Skrtel has Agger. Mertesacker has the french guy, could never spell his name Even then your midfield has to do it's bit too.
