But, more importantly than that, he wants to see us stay in the top flight when that day comes. please log in to view this image Key to such an achievement, the Râs chairman believes, is infrastructure. Fernandes and his fellow shareholders continue to work hard on a new training ground and a new stadium in the years to come, and he told www.qpr.co.uk: âWe want to transform QPR in terms of having a new home and a permanent training facility. âA training facility is so critical. âLetâs make no bones about it â I am desperate to get back into the Premier League. Desperate. But once we get there, I donât want to be a club thatâs yo-yoing up and down. So weâve got to put that infrastructure in place so that we can build a solid Premier League future. âCertain things have stuck in my brain, like going to Everton, who I respect tremendously. There was one poster there that said: â20 seasons consecutively in the Premier Leagueâ. Thatâs better than any stadium or any training ground. If one day I can put that up at QPR, then I think we will have done something good.â While Fernandes is a larger-than-life character who seems to be permanently smiling, he admits the stresses of a matchday do get to him. âSaturday is the worst day of my week,â he revealed. âI am a bag of nerves. I just like the final whistle!â And following QPRâs impressive start to the 1013/14 campaign, Fernandes has this message for the clubâs loyal supporters: âLetâs enjoy it and hope that we have something to celebrate. âMore importantly, letâs hope that we are building something that can keep us in the Premier League. âThereâs a long way to go this season, but itâs a great start. Letâs ride our luck, letâs build on it. Keep believing and keep supporting.â Read more at http://www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/151113-tony-infrastructure-is-key-1176900.aspx#46CMHtzD8H5GpxJi.99
