I agree to an extent mate but there are fairly good reasons tbh ..... we've been total ****e, had 4 managers in the 20 odd games, players revolting, supporters resigned to relegation and some expensive away games.

I never hold grudges against stay-aways, band-waggoners, part-timers or whatever ......... if anyone is prepared to go down there and cheer the Lads on against a bunch of Southern softies then I love them all.

If you get your Chelsea cup ticket before November 27 you get £5 discount so really the cup ticket is only £10.

It's on the ticket page of SAFC.com - £5 off for SC holders if you buy before 27th. I saw the notice on the screens on Sunday about the 2 tickets at £10 each and thought it was for SC holders to buy extra tickets for the league game but I can't find any details anywhere so may be mistaken!

Not targetting me I hope?? I was interested in every round but record company had me working in the studio on all 3 nights. I've asked them not to this time so will be going.

I believe (but not certain) from reading the SAFC site, that tickets for Season card holders are a tenner if purchased before 27th November:

    http://www.safc.com/news/ticket-news/2013/november/chelsea-cup-tickets-on-sale

Info for fans ahead of quarter-final clash.

Ticketing details have been confirmed for Sunderland’s Capital One Cup quarter-final against Chelsea, which will take place at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday 17th December, KO 7.45pm.

Tickets for this game will be priced at £15 adults and £5 over-65s/under-16s. Black Cats Bar tickets will be priced at £30.

Season card holders and Black Cats Bar members have until 5pm on Wednesday 27th November to purchase their seat.

The exceptions to this are season card holders on the Cup Payment Scheme, who will have their cards automatically updated with this game and need take no further action.

All other season card holders can purchase their seats in person at the Stadium of Light ticket office, via the online ticketing service or via telephone on 0871 911 1973 (24 hours).

Season card holders should have their customer number (located top row of season card) to hand. When purchased, this game will be uploaded to your season card.

Adult season card holders who purchase their seat before the November 27 deadline will receive a £5 discount.

All other supporters can purchase seats not reserved by season card holders at the ticket office now.

Any unsold season card seats will be released for sale at 9am on Thursday 28th November.

That bold bit is a very very good thing done by the club to try to get the tickets selling quickly. (although the date - a day before payday - is a bit of a pisser!!)

Will definitely be getting mine and my son is going as well - £15 for the 2 of us to go to the match is nothing!

Not particularly, just pisses me off to see the stadium 1/3rd full for a game against premier league opposition.

Nothing changes mate. I had my first season ticket in '73 (couldn't afford one before that) and we had 12,000 or so at the first game of the season (V Leyton Orient I think). That changed to 52,000 "regulars" by the time we played Man City in the fifth round!!!

Yeah My Dad only missed the final that season and that was due to the ticketing debacle (vouchers I think he said) run by the club!! I have been going since '81 (I was 6 and went to 11 of the home games that season - missed the midweek ones due to school and my Mam not letting me go!!). Season ticket since early 1990's except for 2010 when my daughter was born and I couldn't justify the money. Earning more now so have told the missus I'm getting the season ticket - also go to every cup game when work and singing allows me
