Done Deal. Cracking signing for them, if you ignore the fact that he's an arse. I'll always believe that we fell apart that season because he went (and Macca) and it was knack all to do with the Man City thing.

I agree with you in part that our forward options looked limited after he left. Also i think our luck was always going to change, we weren't going to stay in 7th all season. The bloke brought it on himself with the ****e way he acted off the pitch with other people and his team mates. He's a good player and Brum have done well. No doubt he'd pissed off everyone at Coventry.

Like him as a footballer, but not as a person. In this day and age it's not just what you do on the pitch that gets noticed, at the end of the day footballers are role models and represent the football club in the community, it's a shame that a talented player carries the reputation he does.

is no one else disappointed we haven't made any signings yet ? i thought pearson was all about getting in early and signing players up.

also what happened to the transfer budget we were promised by the allams, didnt they say in an interview around 6-7m will be available in the summer ? yet we're still looking at free transfers and low wages...

According to the Daily Fail the Danns signing might not happen due him wanting more money.

We've already signed Corry Evans and Joe Dudgeon, that's two more than most clubs have signed and we've also got a bid in for Jack Hobbs.

Most of the players(and management) go on holiday as soon as the season finishes, so things are only just getting going. Also, the transfer window in most of Europe(including Scotland) doesn't even open until July 1st. We've said we're looking to bring in 6/7 players, not spend £6/7m and I'm sure a lot of our business will be shaped by our ability to move out Jimmy, Oli, Macca etc, but there's plenty of time.

It's been clearly said for months that we'd look to bring in several players, that some of them would have to be free and that there wasn't a massive amount of money available. If people read the facts instead of living in a dream world, they wouldn't get disappointed.

im in no dream world rick. the interview i read stated they'd be money available for transfer fee's and that we'd bring in a few free transfers too.

just wait for the season to start and we'll still be without a decent midfield. everyone will say "there's still time left" then deadline day comes... if Danns is so highly rated by the club (AP said he's our top target) we should have bought him in January and stopped trying to be cheap and get him on a free, as if other clubs wouldnt come sniffing. i dont think he would have cost THAT much, maybe £1m ? bloody hell we bought mclean for more than that.

We did try to buy him in January, but Palace rejected the offer, as they were in the relegation zone and losing their best player would probably have confirmed their relegation. We've already spent £800k and bid another £800k for Hobbs and we're talking to quality frees like Norris and Danns, ffs stop whinging.

The fans don't care for it much, either. What else did they expect from a sexist thug? As one of them says " He might be a good footballer, but an awful human being".

Venegoor of Hesselink has terminated contract with Rapid Vienna. Maybe he could come back and fill that big man role

Would love big Jan back, he'd be a handful for any championship defence. I also think he'd be willing to meet our wage demands.

I am not quite sure if you are being serious......

800K is not a lot in this league? The league atm is broke, pretty much every club is in some form of debt and have no money to spend. Michael Chopra a proven championship goalscorer has just being subject to bigs of around 1 million, so 800k i think is a lot in this league....

If you don't think 800k is a lot go shove yoru support of Hull City, you thought they would go all out and probably ruin our financial situation again? So you would risk getting promotion even if it meant we could go into administration?

I am happy we have a club and instead of spending a fortune we are making sure we are financially viable first!
