Three years is along time, unfortunately for Welbeck.

 

he did well for you on loan, i just hope we don't turn him into a Park-type player.

 

He got better as the season went on, just needed games and he got em with us.

 

he sure did, he was one of the reason why you were doing well at the time.

 

His development seems to have stalled after going back to Man U.

 

It hasn't, he did well after coming back on loan from you, he scored 13 goals for us in his first season back with us i think.

 

Yeah, and that was thanks to the confidence and exposure of regular first team football we gave. What has he done since? Not exactly making the same sort strides is he? He is not a Man U quality player.

 

Cause he needs games imo. same thing that stunted Hendo in his first year at liverpool. They're saying how well he's doing. Imagine how much better he'd be if they played him more in his first season?

 

End of the day it's not rocket science for Moyes. Welbeck is a developing player, he needs games, if you can't give him them, send him out on loan. Something Bruce, MoN and PDC didn't seem to get about Wickham and we're currently sitting on an 8m write off.

 

Carrick - you say these things but give no explanation of your reasoning - he plays for United but, from what I've seen recently, is not good enough for United - is good enough for us or one of the mid-table sides definitely but I haven't seen anything after his first season to convince me that he's United quality

 

I'm sure Carrick came on here for an argument ......... I wish he'd stop pissing about and get on with it

 

The clue may be in his handle - Carrick-16 may become Carrick-17 next birthday.

 

He tore Real Madrid apart over 2 legs. I think that's good enough.

 

When Wellbeck left to re-join United, i thought if/when he improved his finishing he'll be a quality player.
Unfortunatley for United that has'nt happened.

Hes a good player, but he hasnt got the natural scoring ability of a top striker.

 

One swallow does not a summer make - Danny Graham scored 12 goals in his first premier league season...
