http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24937668 I'm guessing not, in fact I'm guessing the Ref's will get a fair amount of deserving stick and probably take it.
Time for videorefs for penalty shouts... Takes a minute or two at Rugby, so won’t disrupt the flow of the game...already takes a good few minutes to get penalty taken due to all the playersarguing.
That's football! I love how they fail to mention the times they get penalties themselves which aren't. Should have 7 more points and 8 less.
Mindy has a point. Rugby is a stop-start sport whereas football's at its best when it's free flowing. Stopping all the time to check replays would spoil the flow of the game. Plus, what else would there be to talk about if you took away the controversial decisions? It creates more conversation than probably anything else in fitba.
Football is not exactky free flowing ... I'd say about 30% of the time, the ball is not in play. Penalty shouts happen, twice maybe three times a game... I dont think it would slow the game down that much. The players cause more of a distruption when they start whingeing about a penalty.
If a player is shown to have dived, one of his kids gets guillotined in the centre circle. Will soon stamp out the cheating.
Can you imagine though? ****s like superhooper would be accusing the instant replay judge of being a hun every time a decision went against us
Personally im against it. Football has been played without it for a long time and has survived just fine. You'll eventually end up with questioning everything - offsides, fouls, dives etc or you'll get a joke situation where a manager gets 3 challenges on refs decisions per half - like Tennis howver no doubt given the money on the line between winning and losing it will have to happen
If this happens, then there will be no need for referees. Then, people will start complaining about players making mistakes and demand teams use robot players. Then, the humans building the robots will not be building them well enough, so we will get robots to make the robot footballers. It's the beginning of the end.
Could make a good film out of that idea. Would have to have Robson Green and Ant and Dec in homage to Bhoy from Brums Not606 movie ideas
See that last referee stroke where the officials conspired against Celtic..... That was a ****ing penalty.
I suppose the person who posted that I would accuse every video ref , who didn't give a decision against us to be a Hun . One thing is sure , I would be more likely to be right than wrong , as history as shown that those giving decisions in Scottish football to have a bias against us . Of course most posters on here are well use to the use of video referees , as BT Sport and Sky , show all the questionable decisions time and time again. Especially if shock horror if a decision happened to be given in favour of Celtic . Of course they seem to be adept at repeating the camera angle least favourable . I like the comment , that they could understand why Celtic were wrongly given off side , as he was nearly offside .
Each team starts with 5 available subs per game. Each manager is allowed to challenge goals/red cards/penalties twice per half. Each unsuccessful challenge results is losing a sub. Have a 5th official sitting in the refs room watching the game on tv, he can then relay the challenge result to the ref on his ear piece. Kinda like the yanks do for American Football, without the need to stop start the game continuously.
