What are we playing at ?????? have just seen the fixtures for July.25% of a seasons matches played in 4 weeks, Are we trying to kill the boys before we get going, do we have enough players yet ??
Seen odds of 20/1 to win the league !!!! must be short priced to go down then.
How ever I will still be there and Loyal at the start of our 2011-12 campaign UTG <ok>

Completely agree - too many matches. We always pick up pre-season injuries which will really impact upon a smaller squad. Remember when we lost Simon King and Stuart Lewis with long term injuries during pre-season matches a couple of years ago?

With the lack of new players I get a feeling that alot of these matches will be filled with trialists and as such will be of little value in terms of getting a settled team ready for the new season

I totally agree. Far too many pre-season games. Again it's a case of quantity rather that quality. A few seasons ago we had Spurs and Chelsea here for pre-season friendlies. Ok, they might not be available this year but what about QPR, Fulham or West Ham? At least they would bring some much welcomed income to the Club. The first fixture is 3 weeks away tomorrow yet still no news from the Club re. new signings.

Some of the games are on consecutive days, our teams will have a large contingent of never seen the before, never see them again players.

im sure the team from one game to the next will vary massively with players, espically early on, only playing 45mins at most. as has been said trialist and youngsters galore for many of these games
