How Long Will Brown Stay Fit? By Tott Dixon - Seaham Updated Tuesday, 12th November 2013 Views: 159 Sunderland RSS Feed Wes Brown is looking for a healthy spell in the Sunderland team. We know how good he is ... but can Poyet build a team around him? Wes Brown: "We all stayed together, stuck to the game plan and, at times, we could have scored again. "We need to keep doing that after the international break. "Winning any game is great, but Man City are a top side and they've got the best players. "We matched them, especially in the first half, and then in the second half we had to work for it, and we did. "Training will be good this week, we just need to keep this going and we're looking forward to the next few games now. "It was tiring towards the end, they put a lot of balls into the box, although the adrenaline helped me. "Personally it was difficult, but as a team we were fantastic. I thought we played exceptionally well. "As a defender, the clean sheet is the best thing about it. You don't concede any goals and you don't lose. "That's our first clean sheet of the season and now we need to keep that going."
Best defender at the club and also most composed coming out of defence with the ball. John O'shea take note!!
No coincidence that our first clean sheet comes when our best defender makes his first start. A centre back should be top priority in January. A young , quick strong athletic type who can learn from Brown and play and learn along side him. He will inevitably get injured but every game he plays our chances of a positive result increase massively.
the man is sheer quality and I've got my fingers crossed for him.....................he deserves some good luck after 22 months out
we need to wrap him in cotton wool beetween matches, the club should also provide a constant chaperone to make sure he doesnt do anything stupid like trip over a dog, fall down the stairs or drop a heavy object on his foot
