A couple of threads mentioned this recently. When Allen signed for us there was a thread on the utd board asking 'what the scousers would do when they found out Allen was a boyhood utd fan'. I don't care who our players supported as boys. Why do some rival fans think we would be upset knowing Allen supported utd or Carragher Everton? Does it matter?
Keane was a boyhood Liverpool fan and was crap for us! Well, maybe not crap but maybe could have been utilized better. I think all this means is that they keep in touch with the scores of their "boyhood" team but that is about it.

There is a young lad in out u21s called Cameron Brannaghan and a big deal was made when he joined us at 7 because his family were United fans. I think its nice if you have some players that were boyhood fans, but most of the time it doesnt make much odds
