With all the rumours recently about the possibility of him leaving Arsenal in this transfer window, I believe that if a player of this quality is available then we should be going for him. I think he is the sort of player we need as he is a quality passer of the ball which is somthing which is lacking from our midfield and he can chip in with the odd goal as well. Im quite supprised that we have not been linked with him yet, although we seem to be linked with more talented youngsters atm rather than proven talents. Would you like us to go for Nasri? or would you prefer someone else?
Nasri's a good player, I wouldn't mind him at the club to be honest, esp if we could get a deal on him
I think he would do well at Chelsea tbf and has a lot more to offer than what we have seen at Arsenal
I don't think we'll be getting him tbf, we wont be getting anyone until we have a manager! He's most likely on his way to United, unfortunate as it is. He's the type of player we need, someone who can score goals AND he's the type of player who would work well with Torres. It's a shame we're being linked with the likes of sneijder for 30/40m when we have a player here who is very similar in Nasri for 10m.
i think he would do well with us.... arsenal dont play him to his full ability and with a manager like guus, i think he would get the best out of nasri!
Well now that Sneijder has opted to stay in Milan Nasri would certainly be a good buy. The rumors are that he is going to United, but I would love for us to make a bid for him.
Why would Guus get the best out of Nasri ? I think Hiddink is a good manager, but he is not a Ferguson or Mourinho. He had a good 3 months with Chelsea, but so did Avram Grant.
Well - I had Nasri in my Fantasy League team for a while last term & he was excellent, goals & assists etc...then nothing at all Then he was injured twice for a while I'm wondering if he's Arjen Robben mkII I do rate him though
Er...would you care to explain how Avram Grant was good, and also how he can in any way be compared to Hiddink Steve Clark ran that team, not Avram "I'm a useless ****" Grant...Hiddink is a top class manager, tactically, structurally and in disciplinary terms as well.
I think Hiddink is very good, but no better than Ancelotti. I was a bit sarcastic about comparing Grant and Hiddink but Hiddink seems to have acquired almost a legendary status at Chelsea for winning an FA Cup when Chelsea were in the latter rounds when he arrived and were about the only top team to put their best side out or almost their best side out in the competition. Lots of managers would have set out their team to play as Chelsea did against Barcelona. I am sure he is tactically very good, but the ties against Barcelona do not prove anything.
In the light of a lack of any other world class & available coaches for Roman to go & buy, I suspect Hiddink will be in the seat before long However - gunner has a point Hiddink came in when we were in a good place & almost had the FA Cup in the bag, & has proved nothing over a decent period in charge
Agreed. But it's not about the FA Cup, it's about how he came in to a team bereft of fitness and form from Scolari's split arse tenure, and a very divided camp with a lot of conflict going on with Drogba leading the african contingent. He grabbed them by the bollocks, instilled the discipline and gave them the spirit to get out there and play good football and win games, his league record speaks for itself. That's my reason for wanting him there
The special one was pretty good with the discipline as well, in his own way Something top teams all need - certainly the red nosed one at OT has never been short on the sharp lesson front Maybe a slight weakness in Carlo (in retrospect)
Sneijder wanted too much money and chelsea wouldn't give him it, that's why he didn't join us, I would love us to get Nasri to but i expect us to go for someone like javier pastore for £30-40, where as Nasri would cost about £10.
crikey id love for both pastore and nasri to come for 50 quid! ill give the money to roman and he can sort it out
