Maybe not an overwelming list but they are still known to alot of people

Against Paul Heaton -Sunday league Football. He was still with The Beautiful South at the time.
Against Ken Wagstaff , Ken Houghton , Steve Deere , Roger DeVries , Karl Shutt , John Kaye all in their twilight years in County League Football but still very good players.John Kaye has the loudest voice i have ever heard , he was frightening.
Against Linton Brown-football but cant remember which league.

With Pat heard - schoolboy football.
With Peter Skipper-although this was only in kickabouts because he lived near to me when we were kids.He was always a good goalkeeper and a big Chelsea fan.

Against Tracy Lazenby and Terry Devonshire at Rugby League.
With Brian Brooke at Rugby League (former half back partner to Roger Millward at Hull KR)

He was as hard as nails and screamed orders out to his team throughout the match - i think it was Westella Vets. I slide tackled him and he just gave me the evil eye as to say i will get you back later.Good times and a damn good player in his time.Nice one

I was obviously too young, but I was under the impression it didn't quite happen at City with injuries etc.?

It was his attitude that stood out. Which is why Dave Dewberry of Action Group fame named his first daughter Fiona Jane Kaye. Tragically she was killed in unfortunate circumstances in her early twenties.

That's crazy and saddening! I know he is well thought of at West Brom, which was strange when I was younger when everyone wanted to meet him/talk to him etc.

He nearly made the WC66 squad and played in a CUp winning team in 1968 when it was THE biggest game of the season.

Past his best when moved from Div 1 WBA to Div 2 City

Yeah I know all about it mate, love hearing his stories about his footballing days. And that's what I thought, his best days were WBA and City were his twilight years. Also, it was strange when we went to the San Siro with school and there was a picture of my grandad shaking hands with the Milan captain in the museum!

City signed quite a few players in their twilight years but still had something to offer at City's level, Roy Shiner, Jackie Sewell, Bill Baxter, Terry Neil, Billy Bremner, can't remember if Eddie Gray actually played or was just manager/coach and of course John, many were former internationals and in the case of Billy Bremner he was still class when playing, unfortunately the rest of the then team were crap compared to him. The list is only what I can remember off the top of my head there may have been more.

Played against Nicky B, Deanno and Darren France (he's a right dirty git, I came off well battered and bruised marking him) and I swam against Adrian Moorhouse when he swan for Leeds and me for Hull. I beat him and then packed it in to continue with football
