I'm not worried at all yet. Check out our home games for the second half of the season. Shows how tough our home games have been anarl.

After this weekend our home run in to the end of the season looks like this.

    Chelsea
    Spurs
    Norwich (21st Dec)

    then

    Villa
    Soton
    Stoke
    Hull
    West Brom
    Palace
    West Ham
    Everton
    Cardiff
    Swansea

A lot of points available there and with that, you can call me a moron anarl :D

It's not great mate, However, from 2 February 2013 to 7 April 2013 of the 12/13 we picked up 2 points from 9 games and we stayed up. From 22 January 2011 to 16 April 2011 in the 2010/11 season we picked up 4 points in ten games. We finished 10th. We haven't in any way done ourselves favours but it's hardly panic stations for me, lots of points to play for, lots of time for Poyet to get us playing together, We've got a better squad then last season, we've got players who can actually pass a football. Keep it cool Disco and let it play out. Plenty of time to panic later.

Rivalry I understand mate. Pretending the other side has never heard of soap, I completely understand. It just goes straight over my head when people make out we're in the middle of some sort of Jihad with each other. People wishing death upon people and whatnot. Just find it a bit odd.

It's not like either of us are ****ing cockneys or scousers is it?

Man City were properly awful, so credit to Sunderland. Both Spurs and City played like a bunch of individuals, and they got beat by teams. Think there'll be more "shocks" of that ilk this year.

Well yeah you're right but these are no doubt the same people who would bash your head in on a Saturday night regardless of where you come from. Just nasty, bottom-of-the-barrel-stupid ****s who have ****ty lives. They'll also be the north east's racists, xenophobes, prison inmates etc.

    PDC isn't a manager, he's a nutter.

Poyet is a manager and really the first decent manager they've had since Steve Bruce. They might yet be okay... I'd be mainly worried about their D, Brown and Oshea... no bueno. And Bardsleys a bit of a hero.

That's the guy PDC banned from being near the first team right? Catts is disgrace though and needs to be done.

Would have been interesting if Larsson had been rightly sent off. 3 reds in 2 games is not something to be proud of.

It really wouldn't surprise me if the MOTD boffins haven't broken out the Adobe After Effects or got the gang out into the car park in front of a green screen.

Britain's favourite crisps salesman: "Unfortunately today's footage was lost and we can only show you a faithful reconstruction of how Lawro predicted it on Friday"

Clearly, broadcasting legitimate footage of NE teams shaking up "the natural order of things" could have catastrophic consequences on impressionable youths.

I mean who the heck do they think they are???

    Brazil?

They'll have plenty of this with Tarricco and Poyet. Tarricco was dirty beyond belief. They can expect plenty time wasting when in front and general dipping into the dark arts. Brighton got accused plenty.

Heard the game on the coach on the way home, seemed like Bardsley had a good game.

He did quite well. He fouled the lad for the goal mind, and Larsson should have been sent off. They defended really well, Brown was head and shoulders above the rest. I think the key to their survival will be his fitness. I am feeling a bit more confident about our own survival after the last two results. Good points haul for this point in the season.

Can't say I saw Milner falling over as a foul by Bardsley. Looked to me that despite a couple of arms from both players Milner went down incredibly easily once Bardsley got on the wrong side of him. Larsson should definitely have gone though. Horrible challenge.

Each to their own. I personally think this going down too easily is getting a bit blown out of proportion at times. No doubt at times people go down easily but sometimes its just momentum, and in contact sport it doesn't take much to get you off balance. The classic is when someone gently tugs on a shoulder (like Mbiwa against Liverpool). It looks soft but if you have ever being going full tilt in a match and someone does it, you understand how easy it is to be heading for the deck. Thought the ref was quite generous to them all day. I'd have been disappointed if I'd been Milner to see it not given.

Mind he had nothing on Foy in the "homer" stakes. **** me we really did get jack **** and it contributed massively to the pressure we found ourselves under. We couldn't get out and it was good pressure by them, but also a few free kicks an breaks in play would have calmed things. By about 60mins I was completely hacked off with him.
