Bang on the money on every point. Yes he normally gases out around 70mins, but give me the lad who tries 110% for 70mins and gases, over the talented mercurial who produces every once in a while. That's what subs are for anyway. The lad has become a firm favourite. He is very calm in possession.

Would have been a hammering without him, think Tottenham deserved to win but then that's football.

Just the way a team should work really. As you note it did him the world of good last time. I do wish we had a proper front man. Imagine a fit Carroll instead of Shola now............................

TBH I dont think Carroll will ever be fit. He has serious issues. We coined it in at yhe right time there. Would love to have him back on top form though

Was daydreaming about this earlier. I really like carrol and at his best he's just an absolutely unplayable beast. Surely a player of this type is priority again in january.

We'll probably be back in for Gomis. He'll be cheap with only 6 months contract left - fits the blueprint.

Just got back from a couple of hrs pretending not to be a Newcastle fan amongst the Spurs faithful (one of my Contractors has season tickets in the main stand) - totally agree with every point made above - as did a lot of the Spurs fans around me.

Thought Williamson was immense today as well, not sure why he didn't get the higher rating from Tash? Willo never put a foot or head wrong for me today - MYM had me worried on a few occasions though - seriously needs to make his mind up quicker on occasions.

Same team for me next week, yes Shola wasn't as effective, but had less support as Gouff and Sissoko spent more time tracking back and covering in today than getting forward.

We need to continue the 11 men, 100% effort basis that's won the last two games.

Yep, stick with the same for me until it needs to change. Just give certain players more license to play at home and against teams where you'll have more possession.

Let Cabaye roam and push the fullbacks on but other than that I like the balance, compactness, the closing down against everyone in this league – look at Southampton's ethic!

We've hit upon a combo of players that works and the impact players will need to prove themselves from the bench. I agree with Hacky on that, let's have the grafters for 90 minutes instead.

I remember tweeting Gouffran the day he signed and I said that players who work hard are accepted and loved most by NUFC fans. He's taking my advice!

Except, just realised that Debuchy will be missing as he picked up his 5th yellow today - assuming Dummett & Haidara are both still crocked, then Anita in or possibly Colo at fullback at let Willo/MYM continue - I think Colo played RB for Deportivo for a while?

I'd trial santon at RB and drop MYM into left back.

Not sure wot what game you were watching tash, but we were gash in th 2nd half.

We defended well...cos he we had to, and krul made some excellent saves / blocks...cos he had to, but where the **** was our midfield?

They absolutely bossed us in midfield, Tiote, Cabaye, Sissoko and Anita when he came on were anonymous. We sat far too deep and invited them onto us for the whole second half. Their substitutions worked....ours didn't, but credit to pards for recognising that things needed changing and changing it cos too many times in the past he's just sat back and hoped for the best.

I ****ing hate amoebi as well. He offers nothing, well at least not to us anyways. He breaks up our play and turns attack into defence very well. It's so ****ing frustrating watching him, fouling, getting flagged offside, playing balls through to other players who are offside and giving the ball away cheaply and not trying to get it back. I'd much rather see HBA up front with Remy, at least he doesn't give foul after foul away, and generally tracks back a lot more now when he loses the ball.....oh and just for the plain and simple fact that there is a chance....just a chance that he might do something ****ing brilliant ! Christ even Adam Campbell would be better than Shola !

Colo's classy and technically good enough to play anywhere and be effective in some form.

I've said already I'm loathe to change it at all and only with necessity – so shift MYM across and slot Colo in his place.

No reason why the two can't interchange and help each other out if need be...

Keep the rest as is! :D
