please log in to view this image I don't know how you managed to call that one Dave but fair play After that first half performance I wanted to grab Hughton by the scruff of his neck and march him out of Carrow Road. Then we get a bit of luck with the penalty and everything changes, completely different team. If nothing else it proves that there is still a good team spirit within the group, the reaction after Leroy's goal really did show that. Hughton still has a hell of a lot to do though if he is to get the doubter's back on side including me, but believe it or not I really hope he can. This international break has come at the perfect time IMO after a great, some might say fortunate win. Plenty of time now to re-group and hopefully get some key players back to full fitness (RvW). I agree with Superman when he uses the word 'relief' because it does sum things up perfectly, I can't be the only fan who was mentally exhausted at the final whistle yesterday. OTBC CTI
Fair play Kickitoff, I think we were ALL singing from the same hymnsheet at half time, but at long last Lady Luck finally smiled in our direction, what a change in confidence she gave our boys! OTBC
I think that is very fair, level-headed analysis and even though you are not a fan of Hughton you still give him praise when it is due. At half time I thought Hughton would not to put rockets up their a***s but whatever happened at half time, after that penalty we went from an abysmal side to a side that some might even say was premier league worthy. The goals were obviously very nice to see, but I was particularly pleased to see fast counter attacks courtesy of Howson and Redmond which is something I think we have been missing for a while. Now let's see what we can do against Newcastle in a few weeks, lots of our players in action over the break. OTBC
fair play kickitoff. just to add, you know how you like your stats, especially the one about 6 in 29 or whatever it is? here's a little beaut for you! norwich - last 34 league games - 10 wins the majestic swansea - last 34 league games - 8 wins
...on goal difference. wow. the sensational swansea are only ahead of the useless norwich on goal difference. they should be ashamed of themselves
Did you search that one out especially for me Supers ? Edit:- I'm now off to tweet that, we'll see what response it gets !!
someone else posted it, i can't take credit for it i'm afraid but it is true. i couldn't believe it so i checked!
Not only that, the useless, Hughton-managed Norwich have exactly the same points per game average over last season and this as the brilliantly-managed and much bigger and better (more talented) Aston Villa! I keep trying to get KIO to see that points per game is a more meaningful stat than the number of wins (which latter seriously under-values the importance of not losing).
Blimey KIO talk about a U Turn! Last week he was public enemy No1 in your eyes and now after 1 lucky result you want to roll out the red carpet and get the open top bus out for him! You've done more Flip-Flops than Stead & Simpson!
