**** me, they are wide open on the counter. Loads of space between defenders and between the lines.

Need to capitalise on this frustration before half time.

Most complete 45 we've given in a while. Keeper solid, defence solid, well organised, good movement, looked a threat in attack. We can expect a response 2nd half so we'll need to do the same again which is often our problem. The game plan doesn't need to change, no blaming manager talks etc etc, just perform.

Defoe and Lennon will lift them and inject pace so we need to be switched on.

1-0 up for Remy. Playing some great counter attcking football, and Spurs keep playing a high line. Looking pretty good so far.

Def get Ameobi off around the 65 min mark and get on HBA - he could really cause Spurs some damage on the counter. Playing very solid but this smiler Linesman and Foy would love to give Spurs a pen. We need to be careful second half.

TBF to Shola he looked alright for around 20mins but then just dropped back into the usual load of old arse rountine

Unsure bout arfa as we need to defend from the top the same with cisse.
4.5.1 maybe with remy up top and Anita in the middle however if you drop down to 5 in the midfield does that invite them to put pressure on our back four.

Lads, sorry to intrude, but when Coloccini is back, who are you going to play in defence?

    Yanga or Williamson?

Thought Shola looked ok but the idea of a proper player in his place is too tantalising. Just clumsy. He has worked though, which he often doesn't.

I'd be reluctant to introduce HBA unless we need something. Criminal we are sitting with the confidence shot Cisse as the option. That's where we are though.

    Shola has done ok .
Maybe put ben arfa with like 20 mins left.

I fear lennon and defoe will come on , they always seem to do well vs newcastle

Yeah Anita def. Just someone instead of Shola. He looks ok off the ball, his physical presence has been useful but his limitations on the ball aren't helping us.

He is on the bench today. Have to work to get back in if these two continue as they are. However our defenders will always find a horror game or half from somewhere so he'll get his chance.

I dont think we should change anything. Shola is **** but he gives us that panic button option of le hoof if we need it and there defense looks surprisingly suspect.

We need the workrate in the second half. I can see many fouls and a few yellow cards when we tire.

We cannot afford to foul in the box as I feel this ref will give em a pen if its a half half.

I'd like Yanga but as long as its not Taylor I'm kinda easy. I'd rather Dummett than him. He is fifth choice as far as I'm concerned.
