Well week one kicked off in good style with a competitive race at Wincanton. Two Challengers won and go UP a place, two defenders successfully beat off the oposition, and one defender won by default. That one being Brough, who is, and remains - Number One 1. Brough Tiger 2. Redcgull 3. Bucks C 4 Reebok 5. Chaninbar C 6. Oddy 7. Stick C 8. Uncle Cracker 9. Chavinacow C 10. Smokethedeadbadger 11. Steveo77 C 12. Sir Percy 13. Wooly C 14. Cityhull 15. Mwildcats C 16. Boston Bob 17. Ron C Names with a "C" are the challengers to the player above them. I have had to relax the "can't challenge two weeks running" rule which I thought was a great self regulator, but table movement would have had two challengers together. We'll have to see how this goes and I'll re-tweak if players keep ending up together. We welcome Ron for week 2, who, starting at the foot, gets to challenge Bob, and so on up the table. It does mean however, that Brough Tiger gets another easy ride, with no challenger for him! I am tentatively suggesting the Paddy Power Gold Cup for next week's challenges, but may revise this if the race looks like cutting up. Hail Brough, the Numero Uno, and good luck all
I've had 4 very strong German beers and I reckon if I tote place a winner and stick goes e/w on a horse which finishes 4th in a twelve runner handicap with a 15p rule 4 then I'm laughing
Just looking at the runners. 3 of the top 4 in the betting (according to ATR) aren't even running according to the RP. A little confusing.
You were defending that spot Woolly. Next week you will be challenging Percy for his spot at number 12!
