He constantly picked a losing team and never changed a losing tactic and introduced Shotton to the fold around the same time the wheels come off!

I agree Ricc I'm not going to lie when Pulis went I was full of excitement and high expectation as was every other fan. You can trawl through these threads for my thoughts on the season ahead and it was one of excitement and concern. Excitement of the prospect of a new manager with new ideas and new personnel and concern that i had no faith in Hughes and was hoping to be proved wrong. The football I've watched so far this season as just been a few levels above what I was watching under Pulis so am I happy? not really.

Not going to bleet on about it anymore and keep my thoughts to myself but mark my words Hughes is not a premiership manager!

Fair enough mate, if you think im winding you up then thats your problem and maybe you should look a bit closer to home.

As i explained a while ago on another post, I follow all EX QPr players and managers to see how they have done after being with us. I origionally read your board as I know Crouchys family from football a few years ago.

As a mark of respect I'll sit quietly in the background and take it all in.

I have no need to wind you up mate. You are Premier League (ATM anyway) We are NPC. What do i gain from that?

As for the Man Utd comment, yuou are so far from understanding my post that I cant be bothered to explain it too you...Lets just say that it really doesnt matter what you think..Its what your players & manager think that counts...think about it.

    See you next year

    Good luck other Potters <ok>

To be honest I'm fookin sick of reading Negative commens on here. From Stoke fans. We are FOUR pts off mid table.
Swansea are no pushover, yes we let a two goal lead slip, but at least it's Good to watch now. I'm ready to just jack this site in and sod it. See ya guys, it's been a blast. Now????

Seeing as everyone is leaving because of the negativity I'll make this my last post too.

A comfortable 2 goal lead was thrown away again yesterday as with other games. I agree Swansea are no push overs and we should be grateful of a point. I can't help it if my own personal opinion is that Mark Hughes is not up to the job. I thought open forums were for topic and debate and not slanging matches because someone does not agree with your outlook on things. thought I had some decent mates on here but obviously not so feck it too I'll bow out as well!

I wonder how long it will be though when the ****e proper hits the fan that people realise we are no better off with Hughes than we were with Pulis. Yeah you will see lots of passing and more goals, but you will also see us concede more. Let's just hope we score more than we concede!

    Laterz guys!

Come on guys! We're having a tough time of it, and we're still not sure if Hughes is the right guy for the job or not.
But, the way things were going with Pulis, we looked like relegation candidates, and we had a damn expensive, but astoundingly average squad. How many managers do you think we're up for the job? I don't imagine they were queuing up.
So far, I think Hughes has done a good job, he has us passing and keeping the ball better, and in the last fee games we've even been creating (and taking) some decent chances.

I'm still not a fan, it has been commented (by Waddo I think) that the guy has no passion and seems to be a bottler, and I think this maybe the case, looking at him on the touch line he seems the polar opposite of Pulis, in both dress sense and that TP used to be running about and screaming, and Hughes stands there looking dopey, which I don't think endears him to the fans at all.

We also have to consider the limited transfer funds, we signed Arnie for 2m, Pieters for about 3 I think, and the rest cost nowt. I think this was pretty good business, only downside is not signing a striker, but we don't know if that was Hughes' failing, Coates' financial restrictions or what, but I think we've improved our squad quite a bit with this years signings.
I doubt we will go down this season, Crystal Palace look certs to take the drop, anyone can see 2 from Sunderland, Fulham or Norwich to go down, so I think it would take a real disaster for us to end up relegated. So given the changes made, and knowing that we already have a free striker coming in in January, by them I think Hughes will have earned some more trust and may be given a little more cash, and that is where he will really be reviewed. Will he be a keeper, or a one season transitional manager? I'm not sure, but as said previously, I think it would take a real disaster for us to go down, and I think he can get us through the season, and we shall see from there.

As always, only opinions and speculation, but chin up lads, KTF, and get back posting!!

Well said Sandor, to be honest I can`t see why everybody seems to have `spit their dummies out` even Potts, who lets be honest has been the mainstay of this site, none of us wanted Hughes but we`ve got him now and at the end of the day, WE ARE ALL STILL STOKE CITY FANS !! So why not accept the fact that although things aren`t going how we would like at the moment,`que sera sera` .

    Well said both of you,

I have no feeling as to whether Hughes is right for us. I am concerned about how much loyalty he is likely to show but so far as I have said we have not done too badly. I am also concerned that N'Zonzi ia not committed as I saw a photo of a defensive wall jumping and it showed N'zonzi turning a full 180 degrees!

We should remain positive given the overall performances but again there have been seen particular 2 very poor performances. Also the team have let slip leads in games when we should have done better at the back.

Having watched MOTD on Sunday I thought the defending at the goals was basic.

All I say I hope we do not lose Waddo & Ricc and anybody else who is hacked off with the negativity on here.

Keep the comments coming but above all else don't be personal!

I must admit that although I was `over the moon` when we got N`zonzi because he can pass a ball,he was calm and seemed to be able control the game I am beginning to think that he is not a particlarly good influence . His demeanour on the field seems to be one of truculence and at times he is far too casual and cocky, plus he doesn`t support the front men enough.Having said that,he is the best passer we`ve got.He just lacks passion !

Ok guy's I will stay on here until Xmas, no particular reason for the time. Just wanted to say KTF and give Hughes a chance. Think back and ask yourself how bad was it, under the other Manager? That's all i will say for now. And I do respect every poster (stoke fan's) views. Once a Stokie.....

A couple of times I've questioned N'Zonzi's commitment, he just doesn't seem the player he was last year.
Does he not like Mark Hughes? Is he still upset about Pulis going? Or is it about the improved contract he was promised but never got?

I imagine it's the last, possibly a bit of the first, but this season he seems to be doing just about enough to keep himself in the team, but not as much as he should be. Too many times so far this season I've seen him virtually walk the ball to a defender, stop dead during an attack, and not look committed enough going into challenges. Something defo doesn't look right with him.

I think he was forced to stay so is probably doing enough to stay in the shop window without breaking his neck trying for the club that he feels didnt deliver on its promises.

Potts, glad to hear that you are going to stay( hopefully till after Xmas as well). We`ve got no option other than to support the team including Hughes, whom nobody really wanted. Now we`ve got him he has to be given a FAIR chance. This is where I think Waddo ( and SIS) was losing patience a bit too quickly and this is what provoked ricc into his tirades against anybody who had even a mild critical point over the current situation. I hope they come back, and I wish some of the other posters like `the incredible sulk` were back ,but `c`est la vie `I guess.
