If you look at are team this season and compair it to the season we last went up. We are a better team all over the pitch so why aren' t we getting goals. What can we do about this. i am pretty sure hogan got goals for us so why has he gone. adel is not an option so please lets not go down that route. I am at a lost with this one.

I'm hoping that 1 goal for Charlie will lead to loads. I don't think we're creating the quality of chances that we did when we went up..........and sorry, but we don't have anyone doing what you know who did!

Patience? I figure we will continue to improve but that is subject to injuries of course.

Maybe if we played AJ or Chevanton from the start we'd score more. Surely 2 strikers on the pitch at least doubles our chances of scoring??

Would 4 strikers quadruple our chances of scoring?

ha ha depends on who they are, if one of them us Bobby Z it probably lessens our chances ;-)

Its clear we need a poacher, 442 against charlton please with chevy and not AJ.

We put in bad performances and win a lot, then the last 2 games have had good performances but we only get 4 points. We have to start scoring if we carry on playing like this.

I got slated last week for suggesting that Austin should be rested. But let's face it, he's simply not converting the many chances that fall his way including two golden opportunities early on today that went straight to the keeper. We must have seen that happen a dozen times in the last few matches.

Again, I'm not saying that he isn't a valuable member of the squad - he made several important defensive headers today and as ever he worked his socks off - but if you play a system with one up front and that lone striker isn't banging them in then you're going to have a problem.

I find we are a little bit like Tottneham atm, got fantastic midfielders but our strikers just are not putting away the chances they are getting. I would love to see move of Cheventon and see Johnson come into the fold as before Johnson was injured he was playing fantastic football and constantly chased the opposition down.

I think it's all about competition.

Austin needs a least another striker to compete against, not necessarily on the pitch at the same time but someone to take the piss if he misses to fire him up to score the next chance...

Someone else who is also getting game time and goals.

He had one chance and missed the target although playing LW didnt help him.

Chevy is a Cisse type lethal finisher. Something 2 goals a season AJ isnt.

Your putting a lot of faith in Chevanton, how often have you seen him play mate?

Typical Flyer, who ever isnt being played, or whoever, we dont have; would be better than whoever we have on the pitch, or in our squad.

Dare I suggest we are missing someone like Remy.

Creativity was a problem in early games, whilst we are now creating more, we do appear to struggle to put them in the net. I'm sure Hitchcock would relish the opportunity to partner Austin up front. Give the lad a chance , he's not let us down thus far.

For me it's largely the fact that our creative midfielders Hoilet, Phillips, Krankjar are yet to get fully match fit & get a run of games under there belts which when do think we'll create/score a lot more. There's also the fact that we don't have a great deal of options up front to change type of player or have two up top etc.

I thought he looked fit & lively when he came on, making some nice passes, one in particular that resulted in a goal scoring opportunity.

Thought we was more positive today & not so much passing side ways & back & with a bit more luck could have scored a few more except there goal keeper was in fine form, didn't think austin did too much wrong all shots & headers on target just good saves, the goals will come if not i'll take winning by the odd goal all day long.

My view is that they better resolve the xxcking problem otherwise we'll be in the play offs.
Perhaps we're not paying them enough.
    Professionals.......................xxxx off.
A brain between them would be novel.
