Liverpool are prepared to let Raheem Sterling out on loan in January in order to get regular playing time. Should we go for him? Could he do for us what Routledge did 3 seasons ago?
He could probably need to go and live with his mum for a bit, keep him out of Barney. Meanwhile he can play a few games for the team up the road.
Good player but a bit of a ****er by all accounts. If Hoilett and Phillips are on form we are ok in that department, so Sterling would have to fight it out with SWP for the bench.
Of course. Although he was/is a QPR lad from a QPR family, maybe he should have thought that breaking into the R's team was goal number one and then, after a few years, see what happens. I would imagine that he and his family had been dreaming about the day he made his debut at LR. Was the quick lure of money more important?
If memory serves it was more a case of who he was going to, not if, and he had the choice of most of the top clubs in the country. Supposedly he was a Liverpool supporter which swayed him that way. And unless this rather fine malbec is playing tricks with my memory, he left just before Warnock turned up, who possibly could have persuaded him to stay.
From what I have read/heard he was/is an R. If he is a Liverpool supporter, well, I hope he enjoys living there. I wouldn't.
There is always so much spin around these events it is so hard to tell. Dean Parrett is another story, he was definitely a QPR supporter and was pushed out of the door to Spurs because we desperately needed the money. Spurs ruined him and he is at Stevenage now, had he been able to stay with for a couple more seasons who knows how good he could have been.
He has turned into billy big bollocks he wont want to drop into the championship his ego wont allow it
Probably, because he comes from W12 it could be rubbish that he is an R. Whatever the case, perhaps teenagers should live out their childhood dream first and then become millionaires?
Sterling seems to have gone off the rails a bit. He needs to grow up and concentrate on his football, otherwise a huge talent could be wasted
**** him let him rot in their reserves, he'll be the next one up for doing bird, ungrateful little ****.
With our recent track record of bringing through youngsters, he probably made the right decision to leave.
