I don't want to here that he's staying, i want to hear that he's signing a new contract!! I don't want him to play another season then lose him on a free next season!
Not really. I'd keep Barton for one more season and let him leave on a free, but Enrique isn't as vital as Barton and Nolan and we could get 12m+ for him. I wouldn't be too sad to see Enrique go, because i don't love him like some of the other players, but i want to keep him because he's a great player, but one more season with him isn't worth the amount we can get for him, especially since we have a decent player in Ferguson would has the potential to be better than Enrique.
I think that he will either leave or sign a new contract by the end of the summer. I can't see Ashley letting him walk away for free when we could expect £10-12 million for him.
I agree,Spurs is another detination that would ruin his talent. Won't think much of Jose unless he goes to Utd,Chelski,Arsenal or Barca/Real.
We can get about £6m for Enrique. No chance of getting £12m+. Defender in the last year of his contract will be £8m at most but probably nearer £6m.
It is a tough one. I think Enrique is important to the team, good defender, class going forward, and he has a good relationship with Jonas down the left. Definitely want him to stay... But Tash made a good point, would we rather have him for this season to do his thing, or sell him now and get ~10 mil for him? Personally, i want to keep him for this season - he is class. Plus, that means that I won't have to change my name!
That depends what he wants really. We're not going to be able to sensibly offer him Champions League football, or any really significant Silverware for a few years yet... If he wants accolades, then all he will get from the Toon is the chats from the fans. And he is a good enough player that big clubs will be after him. I would hate it if he moved to another Premiership club, i wouldn't begrudge him a move to Barca!
