Got the club promoted on 07, there has been a revolving door, in regards to players. Now if i asked the question, 'who has been the best player since promotion', i expect quite a lot would say 'Sess', with a few variations, of maybe Bent and err? But what if i asked, 'since promotion, who has been the worst player'? The list could be long, so fire away.
O'Shea is the most overrated by managers for me. Worst to pull on the strip... Private? Murphy? Nos? Nah... Angeleri. The lad looked diabolical.
Mignolet was far more consistent than Sess, more dedicated and ambitious. There are some poor players, in their own right, but O'Shea corrupts the entire team. He leaves gaps, makes other defenders unsure of their own position and passes to players who are marked. He obviously hates to receive the ball from the keeper and breaks up our own play by hoofing it forward aimlessly. If he'd arrived from Sheffield United and not the other United he'd have been dropped and pedalled by now .......... and that is an indictment of our managers.
Malbranque the best.. Larsson the last 2 years and O'Shea since he got here the worst. Chimbonda & Diouff weren't to clever either..
Greg Halford, Anthony Stokes, Russell Anderson, Michael Chopra, Roy O'Donovan, Ian Harte, Rade Prica. That's just from the 07-08 season.
Anton Ferdinand, George McCartney (didn't west ham see us coming) David Healy, Teemu Tainio (made of glass) Pascal Chimbonda. Thats from the 08-09 season
McShane the worst, and the fact he took out westwood last week. Best, has to be Steed, he was immense
Elmo again, Connor Wickham, Ji Dong-Won, Wes Brown(crock) John O'Shea, Wayne Bridge, Sotirios Kyrgiakos from the 11-12 season. Lots of names to jog your memories lads.
