It was a dreadful decision,clearly the referee made a judgement on the player rather than the actual tackle which was just slightly late and not reckless Scholes wouldve got a ticking off and a rueful smile from the ref

The problem is not whether he gets sent off for his reputation or not...when you go down to 10 men or even 9, you are not likely to win the game. Against Hull we had a good chance of a result against a team who we are fighting to avoid relegation with. It is hard not to like Catts he is fighter and it is obvious that football matters to him...but his actions cost us precious points...honestly can we afford that?

The sadder thing is that he still gets it in the neck even though he was nigh on our best player for most if the season. He got sent off for a yellow card offence yet still people get on his back. If it had been anyone else other than lee Cattermole committing that challenge and they'd got sent off then every pundit in the country would question it (and probably every anti Cattermole person too) but as it's lee, it must've been deserved.... I second that, I can recall at least 2 reds that were undeserved. Watch a fair bit of other European countries football and am at a loss to understand UKs inconsistencies over straight reds. Spaniards do not hold back and mainly have a yellow before a red at least.
I think too many of our fans jump up and criticise. Catts would probably get a loss less bookings in a better team. At least he gives his all. Is that not what we want? Yes getting too many bookings does not help the cause, but with better players around him the pressure wouldn't be as high and he would probably be a lot less reckless. Lets get behind the lad.
