Defoe has been a peripheral player tonight....he seemed desperate to take that penalty. Took it well....but would we sign him (loan or otherwise) given his desire to be at the World Cup...and would he "lower" himself to leave London. Can Hudds & Livermore have any influence ? I've always wondered about Defoe....can so many manager's be wrong with his playing time....what's the issue do you think ? Personally, I'd take him like a shot.
Of course we'd take him. Almost every team in the prem would take him. I can't see Spurs letting him go, because aside from Defoe and Soldado, they really don't have any other strikers.
Wages would be a massive problem, that's even after enticing him away from London. He earned £3.1 Million last year according to Google.
Better than Clapton's version Macca ? Transfer window...aka ..."All along the watch tower ?" Tend to agree....but close...try this one
Look back one post - the timing sync you could have missed before your comment...it's an 8 min video, unless you decided instantly. However, as you say, it's all personal preference....always will be Dylan as it was the first, but Hendrix version is equal, so comment in #7 a bit misleading from me...
I've already heard it (quite recently actually), so I knew what it was like. Like I said before, just to clarify, Hendrix > Dylan for me.
Marley thought Clapton was better than him, Hendrix thought Clapton was better than him, Clapton thought Hendrix was better than him and they all thought Dylan was better than them. He probably was, at least as a songwriter.
Rumor has it, when the UK guys got hold of the French TV show, whoever took it on was a big fan of Dylan & from the line "Take me on a trip upon your magic swirling ship" from "Mr. Tambourine Man" decided to call the Brit version "Magic Roundabout". Seems almost logical...but I think mind-bending drugs were involved somewhat......can't recall !
If LSD wasn't involved, then the blokes who did all that must've had a ****ing incredible imagination... I'd go for the former. For certain.
Dylan's was the original you do realize ?...but you prefer Hendrix version...as I said, they are almost on par in my mind - associations pretty well overlapped chronologically - the essence of music....
The magic roundabout is about drugs, as are a lot of kids shows. Alice in wonderland being another. Hendrix was better than all of them.
