Just because someone hasn't signed a petition doesn't mean they are instantly against a name change.

A lot of people don't see the point in a petition and think that actual face-to-face action should be taken. What about those people?

You also clearly also haven't taken in to account the number of people who are against the name change but don't want to go against Allam for what he has done.

If you seriously think that absolutely everyone who is against the name change will actively and publicly campaign then you are a naive fool.

Fook me, Asbo - but you're in sterling good humour tonight. Did you witness an accident on your way home from work?

    Just on the cusp.

That shirt with those initials caused a few puzzled looks bitd.

I got my shirt - which I still have- down the Europa Sports place down Spyvee street.

This is interesting. Being a relatively new fan (fan since '05) myself and not from the area (Leeds) I always assumed HCFC was used by those ill-informed, or unknowingly, or indeed knowingly, creating some sort of snide slogan of the club. If I was ever to purchase fan made merchandise (scarves/gloves/keyrings etc) I would choose HCAFC over HCFC, every time.

    Thanks for the information.

Kinell Stan witnessed a real bastard on the way to work.

Two car collision, detached bumper/front end, petrol all over road, at the hatched area of box junction on Anlaby Rd just near infirmary in morning rush hour.

    No ketchup.

If you're gonna have an accident, that's a good a place as any....100 yds from A&E.

I managed to avoid the Calvert Lane madness the other day.

Random question, sorry if I offend... but did you support TWS before 2005?

To be honest if you were I wouldn't expect you to say yes, considering some of the people on here...

    Obrigado, amico mio.

But consider this: in time the snide version is often worth more than the boring official version.

How do you feel about Humberside Roar as our new name?

No. Ashamedly I flitted between the top 4 clubs in the premier league as I was in high school and eager for bragging rights.. Then, long story short, left school, had a quiet word with myself, had links with Hull in the past, went to go watch us play, ("fell in love" I suppose if you wanted to be soppy) and have never looked back since.

I dont know why it still astounds me that some on here have to resort to insults when they come up against a differing opinion.

I assume you are referring to the marches etc. which have been organised? How many turned up? That will bump the 4,500 total up significantly...

If only 50% of the fans who are against the name change have signed the petition it still only makes up 9,000. That's bugger all when you consider our recent matches have sold out and the majority who are against it will still turn up and hand their cash over on a Saturday afternoon. Pissing off a small proportion of fans, for whatever his reasons may be, will not both AA one bit if he is to continue with this name change.

Whilst I dont want to take anything away from the work of CTWD, they are doing a sterling job being a voice for us fans against the change. The petition would need to be hitting 20,000+ signatures before anyone would stand up and take notice.

Yes, I have really had to resort to insults there... <doh>

I'm off to watch Band Of Brothers. TV at it's finest. But before I go, one final piece. Correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't Allam himself say that is was an overwhelming majority who where against the change? I'll just leave you with that.

If no-one wants the AFC, why did Nick Thompson have his own marketing department using (and still using) the #hcafc hashtag?

I gotta admit , this is basically the club using an outgoing manager to basically say .. "enjoyed the meeting but no matter what you think you say or do .. it will happen ... now carry on , get donations to worthless cause" .. they will get by the FA/Prem rules as the two rules contradict each other so its an easy pass ... but hey ho .. carry on
