In addition to the Aussie R's getting a mention on the latest open all R's podcast, the Irish R's also got an honourable mention for our meet up this Saturday.

Finney is the one who mentions us. Fair play to you Finney if you read this.

Car parking details for Kilkenny as follows;

Cars approaching from Dublin, please drive straight into city until you reach a major junction with traffic lights. This junction is called" McDonagh Junction".

• Turn left at the junction and Breathnachs Pub is 200m down the street on the right hand side.
• On the right hand side of the junction itself is a large shopping centre called, you guessed it, McDonagh Junction Shopping Centre. Car park is charged per hour with a max charge of six euro for a full day. Mac Donagh Junction car park www.q-park.ie,
• Go straight through the junction approx 150m and there is a public car park with a max charge of two euro for a full day.

Looking forward to seeing you all there.
Safe travelling

Ahem, and how about people who are not travelling from the bleedin' centre of the Universe, huh?!?! Can we please have directions from Cork, Wexford and, for any Yanks that might hear about out meet-up, directions from Gussy O'Connors pub in Doolin would also be good. Thanks!

PS: Do I need a visa and will I get out of Kilkenny alive?
(Kilkenny, why did it have to be Kilkenny?....<steam>)

Is this the appropriate time to say that it isn't necessary to drink alcohol to enjoy yourselves................................?
Just thought I'd get that in before someone else beat me to it................<whistle><whistle>;)

If you're not coming from the capital and instead arriving from the sticks, simply look for the Dublin road and then apply the above directions 😉

People from Cork need to be careful and keep their mouth firmly closed to avoid being bludgeoned to death (with a hurl) for having a hideously annoying ascent. The alternative to this is to find somebody from Kilkenny, ask them to vouch for you and buy them pints all day. I might be available to volunteer for this.

alternately you can park in the dunnes store car park. when you come in to the CITY, take the right road ( john st) go down a few hundred yards and take a left. there's an extravision on the corner, just before the bridge. it's down there on the lfs
if you can't find either car park.. tough ****t!

Who said we'll be drinking alcohol?

You should get yourself down to KK. You'd do the journey in 3 hours max.
