Wenger to sign players fans would actually want to see at the club - you're having a laugh!!

if you think wenger is actually going to consider players we are linked to or what we as fans would want at our club think again

and obviously the in-arsene-we-trust bigrade will defend him to the heavens saying how "they have faith in who wenger will sign"..etc...etc.

listen i have little faith wenger will get rid of the dead wood in our team (almunia's..bentdner's..denilson's) let alone sign players fans would want!

guess we gotta be thankful he's actually buying players this time round...or said he would!!

    ah well

Why would any manager buy players that "fans want at our club"? I'm pretty much sure that Wenger and all managers have decent scouts all around the World that are better at identifying players for their clubs than FM fanboys.

Most fans would not have wanted players like the following to be signed when they were:

    Henry
    Pires
    Overmars
    Vieira
    Cesc
    Petit

    etc. etc. etc.

    They didn't do too badly.

It's irrelevant who the 'fans' want to sign. I'd love us to sign Messi and Ronaldo, but somehow I don't think Wenger is going to sign them. Kick Wenger out because he won't sign those players. Fool.

I'm not disputing the fact that wenger makes signings from wisdom and skill greater than ours...idiot

i'm sayings there is no point in getting hopes up on what players fans would want signed... everyone knows we would want cahill...or samba...the whole world knows this, but you and i know wenger will more than likley purposefully NOT sign those players

players that scream out to be signed by us..who are proven..in the EPL and he turns a blind eye to it

look defend him if you will...just don't get your hopes up. kmt

    Poor Article.

It's also pretty stupid to assume Wenger wont sign 'players fans would actually want to see at the club'. He's not some crazy anarchist intent on upsetting the fans!

He has his transfer targets, wether they are the players we've been linked with in the press or not i couldnt tell you.

We were heavily linked to both Arshavin and Vermaelen and we signed them.

i always forget Wenger is hell-bent on not signing players that the team needs, and he deliberately doesn't sign players the fans want. as a manager, i don't know how he's lasted this long when he deliberately does all he can to ruin the club and upset the fans.

Totally agree with this. Must be the only reason Wenger is not signing Messi and Ronaldo is because the fans want them. Wenger out I say.

Sadly its as inevitable as Wenger mentioning desire and passion in a post match interview, he will not go for the experience option even though the whole world (and even that eejit hanson) knows its what we need. The only person who is going to get excited over transfers is the Arsenal Under 21 coach
