Eight different scorers in FA Youth Cup rout Pompey eased into the second round of the FA Youth Cup with a 12-0 thrashing of Moneyfields at Fratton Park. Ben Close was the star of the show with four first half goals, while Chad Field (2), Lewis Gill, Jack Whatmough, Bradley Tarbuck, Adam May, Harry Medway and Lewis Horsburgh also found the target. Patrick Agyemang, Dan Butler, Danny East, Ricky Holmes and Jed Wallace were among the first team stars watching in a packed south stand. What a score It's really good that so many of the first team players were there to watch the match - it probably spurred on the youngsters.
Totally agree with this. Reminded me of this article I read in The News at the weekend. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/opinion...-players-rediscovered-football-fans-1-5640035 Can't imagine too many of those players turning up for a youth game on a cold Tuesday night!
I just notice the attendance of 948. There are a few Conference sides who don't get that on a Saturday Afternoon, so well done to those who turned out to show their support
