    Swansea Sitty

    vs.

    RUBIK'S KUBAN
    Venew: Rusher

    Kick-off 5:00pm (Welsh time)

    Thursday 7th November 2013

Meeting of the Abergarngochdulais Branch of the Swansea Sitty Supporters Club at the Stag and Dalek Pub

In Attendance: Mr Gullible (Secretary), Tarquin (Chairman), Molly (Treasurer), Algernon (Committee Member), Annabelle Fortescue-Smythe (Tarquin's new girlfriend), Darren

Item 1 on the ajjenda was why they are called Rubik’s Kuban. Tarquin reckons that there manager gets bored during games, so to make it more interesting he randomly makes the players wear red shirts, blue shirts, yellowshirts or green shirts. Then he rotates the squad during the game so that by the final whistle all the defenders are in red, all the midfield are in yellow and the front line in blue. Apparently, the wingers are the hardest ones to get right as they can end up upside down (?). That’s all very well but there manager should just concentrate on winning.

Item 2 Next up for discussion was the cultural issues of the area. Darren said that in 1962 a lot of their fans tore up seats and threw them on the pitch along with coins and mobile phones. This became known as the Kuban Missile Crisis.

Molly said that if there players are no good they are sent to the Gulags. Annabelle asked if it hurt more to be kicked in the Gulags or the Urals. The guys agreed that the Gulags was more painful.

Item 3 on the ajjenda is the Rubiks Kuban teem, but like with the other games nobody present new any of there players so we started to think of famuss Rushans wot we new.
    1) Stalin
    2) Lenin
    3) Karl Marx
    4) Maria Sharapova
    5) Rasputin
    6) Olga Korbut
    7) Yuri Gagarin
    8) Putin
    9) Tchaikovsky
    10) Solzhenitsin

Item 4 on the ajjenda is how we thunked the game would go. We ain’t playing well at the moment so a loss is on the cards. It’s a long way to Rusher, like.

Item 5 on the ajjenda woz our predikshan. We are going for Rubik’s Kuban 2 Swansea 0

With Stoke to come (and the points vital against a close rival) I think we might field very much a shadow side to keep the rest of the players fresh for Sunday. I'd be more than happy with a draw, perhaps 1-1.

Looks like Ben is on his way back and could play on Thursday. I do think we have missed his attacking force down the flanks.

Last season, when we had a glut of games, we went to Chelsea (and Everton) and shut up shop. We haven't done that this season, because we are having a good crack at most teams - but I would settle for a "shut up shop" performance on Thursday.

0-0 for me. We'll try to keep it tight and not be too adventurous. No change there.

I think Mr G should run for mod - he wouldn't ban people just berate them!!
Fecking brilliant - especially given what's gone on here recently
I don't want to guess as my opinon may be wrong - just the way I thought the mayor of Toronto was a teetotal monk.

Excellent post mr_g :) I'd be happy with a draw. Away crowd will be intimidating. And you forgot that dog out of Sputnik.

Well we know now that Michu won't be playing plus that Shelvey hasn't travelled as well (family reasons).

Also reporting that Michu will be out for around a month and not the two weeks as anticipated.

    Excellent thread,Mr.G.

The European games, post Valencia, have been less than inspiring, and tonight's encounter will probably be of a similar nature.

I read your list of "famuss Rushans" with great interest, but was disappointed that you did not also mention Rosa Klebb,Archady Renko,oh,and Karl Marxs' brother Groucho!!!
