And make a go in the cups..

40 years, yes 40 ****ing years since the last time the club was in Europe.

Think of the clubs that have played there in that time,

Come on Gus, give the lads and lasses something to cheer about..

    ..............................................

But if you are a glutton for punishment, please add to the list of clubs that have played in Europe since SAFC last did, and we can all cry together.

Wigan, Blackburn, Fulham, Millwall, Leeds, Boro, Swanea, Scum, Portsmouth, Wimbledon, Stoke, Bolton Ipswich, Wolves.

As I've always said there's nothing stopping us winning something ........ Wigan were very poor last season but still managed to win a cup.

Forget the damn cup. Just put out a fresh changed team against Premiership opposition tonight and see if they have the guts heart and pride for the survival fight ahead

I want us to win both cups and stay up, **** all this sacrificing cup competitions to maintain Premiership status, we've got a fit squad, lets use it sensibly and try to win some silverware.

I think we should go all out against Man City, after looking at their results against Norwich & CSKA Moscow we might as well get hammered in a blaze of glory!

I'd love to see it but have also seen the effect it has had on other clubs (mags for instance) - If we get there we have to ensure we have a squad capable of maintaining the clubs status as well as playing in europe. Big big if though

I'd like to see some of our new signings play, Cabral, Karlson, Ba, Diakite, Celustka, Manone, Mavrias, Roberge & Ki.

    Maybe Ba on the bench.

Non of these getting a look in yet the players who have had us tinkering with relegation every year are still playing.

    Fletch & Borini up front.

I'm with you on this Bri - let's be greedy and look for both silverware AND survival - let's give some of the 'fringe' players a go - if nothing else it helps put a little pressure on the more 'established' players in the first team if they can perform and adds to the match fitness of those involved tonight which can only be a good thing!

And yes, I'll be there - same bat place, same bat time just hope its not the same bat sh*t to watch.

Oh, add Norwich to the list!

I am going to the match so don't need the link !, but Altidor should start and get his self 'in there' meaning the penalty area for a change. I would like Mavrias and Karlsson starting, Colback in midfield with Gecchi, and Brown in defence. Subs Johnson, Ba, Cabral, Diakite but what about goalkeeper ?, have we got a 3rd choice.

We need to put out a strong team like we mean to win it, I honestly don't care that we have a game 4 days later, they are highly paid sportsmen and I expect them to fully fit. Having said that, I fancy Fletcher and O'Shea might be rested for this one.

Is it just me that wants the lazy overpaid bastards to go all out for every match?
I'm sick of the ****ers embarrassing the fans.
